Starring Renée Zellweger, Colin Firth, and Patrick Dempsey, it’s been 15 years since audiences were first acquainted with the loveable and relatable Bridget Jones, the 30-year-old in search of Prince Charming and a happily ever after.
Now our favourite singleton is in her early 40s and she has finally found the man of her dreams. As she plans her dream wedding, she unexpectedly finds that she is going to have a baby and everything changes.
Unfortunately for Bridget, she only has a 50 percent chance of knowing who the father is. Could it be her ex-boyfriend Mark Darcy (played by Colin Firth) or is it American dating expert Jack Qwant (played by Patrick Dempsey).
Juggling between new challenges at her job and also preparing for motherhood, Bridget has to now decide between an old flame and a new fling, while also not trying to hurt anyone’s feelings.
This delightful British film reminds us how wonderfully ordinary Bridget Jones is and how she deals with the chaos of the upturned world around her.
With Bridget Jones’s Baby directed by Sharon Maguire and co-written by the exceptionally witty Emma Thompson, audiences are in for a hilarious treat.
