D Cali is an artist making waves in the Urban Punjabi music scene.

He said that: “Punjabi music sometimes gets typecast with aggression and ‘gangsta’ vibes in videos.
“My focus is on the rapidly growing ‘Urban Punjabi’ genre, which emphasises a more relaxed, chill vibe.”

D Cali’s work highlights a fresh approach to Urban Punjabi music.
He has a background in Recording Arts, and his diverse influences range from Jazzy B and Bohemia to Dr Dre and Eminem.

He has described his musical process as something that depends on the day:
“Sometimes I try to create the music beat first, then come up with lyrics that would blend it, or the other way around.
“Other times, I share my ideas and perspective with my music producer and lyricist, and then they try to come up with something that fits my style.”
