“Let me clarify here that Shadab knows me well."
TikToker Shahtaj Khan stirred up conversation during her appearance on Mathira’s show, where she discussed her connection with cricketer Shadab Khan.
In a candid moment, Shahtaj explained her reaction to Shadab’s marriage announcement, which had sparked considerable attention online.
Reflecting on the situation, she said: “We were just discussing his wedding, and at that time I just said, ‘Curse on your face you got married’.
“What can a person do if he suddenly hears the news of his/her crush’s wedding? I was quite upset and it was an expected reaction.”
Mathira, however, interjected with scepticism, suggesting that Shadab probably didn’t even know who Shahtaj was.
In response, Shahtaj claimed she was in regular contact with the cricketer.
She emphasised that she and Shadab shared a close friendship and she felt blindsided by the sudden news of his marriage.
The TikToker said: “Let me clarify here that Shadab knows me well. We used to talk with each other; people only know one side of the story.”
She recounted how, after Shadab’s marriage, he seemingly vanished from her life, leading to a wave of trolling from his fans directed at her.
“He got married and disappeared. After that, his fans started trolling me. I once went to Lahore for him to see his match.
“We talked for 7 months. He used to chat with me on vanish mode. My messages used to disappear from his chat.”
Mathira also weighed in on the conversation, advising female viewers whose boyfriends engage in vanish mode chats should reconsider their relationships.
This advice resonated with many, highlighting the complexities of modern dating dynamics.
Shahtaj Khan talked about her confusion and disappointment at the abrupt end in their communication.
Her comments added fuel to the fire, as netizens started trolling Shahtaj Khan once again.
They claimed that Shadab wouldn’t have married a “vulgar TikToker” like her anyway.
A user questioned:
“Did you ever think that when he sees you dancing and singing on social media, what will he think of you?”
“And when he sees you hanging out with other men???”
One wrote: “She talked with Shadab once and started dreaming of marrying him. How is that Shadab’s fault lady?”
Another commented: “Just say you got used and then abandoned.”
One remarked: “Shadab Khan isn’t facing such bad days that he would marry someone like you.”
