Team Gladiators were crowned champions of Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 (BGIS), India’s biggest Esports tournament.
Sixteen finalists took part in the grand finals, which concluded on October 15, 2023, at the SVP Stadium in Mumbai.
There was a total prize pool of Rs. 2 Crore.
In the first-ever LAN finale of BGIS, the winners took home a grand prize of Rs. 75 Lakh.
The three-day Esports event saw over 6,000 spectators in attendance, witnessing intense matches.
Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra was the event’s Chief Guest and he took part in the closing ceremony before awarding Team Gladiators.
BGIS kicked off in July 2023, where 2,048 selected teams took part in several rounds to secure their spot in the finals.
Beginning on October 12, the final 16 teams went head-to-head for the grand prize over the course of 18 matches.
Team Gladiators etched their names in Esports history.
But the tournament also saw top performances from all participating teams.
As the biggest Esports tournament in India, it elevated the Esports experience for fans in an unprecedented manner.
Krafton India’s steadfast commitment to fostering Esports talent took centre stage as the event provided a level playing field for both emerging and veteran teams to play side by side and showcase their skills, making it a truly inclusive spectacle.
Big Brother Esports were the runners-up, winning Rs. 37.5 Lakh.
Teams securing fourth to 16th positions also received prizes between Rs. 12 Lakh (£12,300) and Rs. 1 Lakh (£990).

The thrilling finale was also live-broadcast on JioCinema and the Krafton India Esports YouTube channel, drawing exceptional response from both BGMI fans and Esports enthusiasts.
The event was broadcast in 10 languages, including English, Hindi, and other regional languages, enabling audiences from across the country to enjoy the matches to the fullest.
