a “love letter to vintage glamour”
Tara Sutaria channelled vintage Hollywood glam at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, turning heads with a look rooted in timeless sophistication and classic cinematic glamour.
Invited to attend the Red Sea Film Foundation’s Women in Cinema Gala, Tara stepped onto one of the world’s biggest stages in an ensemble that immediately sparked comparisons to screen icons including Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly.
Sharing images from the event on social media, she wrote:
“Thrilled to be invited to Festival de Cannes and to be honoured at the Red Sea Film Foundation’s Women in Cinema Gala.
“Tomorrow eve is a big moment! Stay tuned.. Until then, some moments from day one…”

Styled by celebrity stylist Tanya Ghavri, the appearance embraced the growing “quiet luxury” aesthetic, favouring vintage-inspired couture and refined minimalism over the increasingly extravagant red carpet trends dominating international events.
Calling the look a “love letter to vintage glamour”, Tanya curated a fashion moment centred on restraint, elegance and old-Hollywood influence.
For her Cannes debut, Tara Sutaria wore a sophisticated black-and-white midi gown from Helsa Studio.

The strapless design featured a structured sweetheart neckline with sharp white detailing contrasting against the deep black bodice.
The fitted waistline flowed into a voluminous skirt, creating a silhouette reminiscent of 1950s couture.

Delicate lace accents and crisp poplin detailing along the hemline added texture and subtle drama, elevating the monochromatic ensemble while maintaining its polished aesthetic.
She kept the accessories minimal yet impactful, opting for statement gold pearl-drop earrings that added a regal touch without overpowering the outfit.
Tara completed the look with classic pointed-toe pumps and sleek black cat-eye sunglasses, further reinforcing the vintage Hollywood inspiration behind the styling.

Her beauty look complemented the ensemble seamlessly.
Tara styled her hair in soft, voluminous waves with a deep side part, echoing the iconic screen siren hairstyles of the 1950s and 60s.
The makeup remained understated and refined, featuring luminous skin, softly bronzed cheeks, fluttery lashes and a nude matte lip that enhanced her effortless Riviera-inspired glow.

The Cannes debut also arrives at a pivotal moment in Tara’s career, with anticipation continuing to build around her upcoming film Toxic.
Amid a season dominated by bold experimentation on global red carpets, Tara’s appearance stood out for its commitment to timeless fashion and understated glamour.
