"Each other is the best and only thing in life"
Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s ex-girlfriend and actress Ankita Lokhande may be set to marry, according to her latest social media post.
She has been with her businessman boyfriend Vicky Jain for around three years after the couple met through mutual friends.
Rumours of their potential upcoming wedding have resurfaced after Lokhande shared an image of some shoes on her Instagram Story recently.
Netizens realised that the pair in the middle of the image were sliders with the words ‘bride-to-be’ embroidered onto them.
They also noted that the box that they were resting on top of had the words ‘happy bride’ written on it.
However, the actress herself did not confirm anything and simply tagged those behind the shoes and added prayer emojis to express her thanks.
Yet close sources have suggested that she and Jain are set to marry in December 2021, potentially between December 1 and December 12.
One source added that official invitations have already been received by family and close friends, according to the Indian Express.
Lokhande also shared a picture of her and her boyfriend holding hands on her Instagram profile.
She added the caption: “Each other is the best and only thing in life that we have to hold on to.”
She added a love heart emoji and tagged Jain.
Prior to meeting her current beau, the actress had been in a relationship with Sushant Singh Rajput until 2016 when the two decided to part ways.
They had both starred in the Zee TV serial Pavitra Rishta (2009 – 2014) together which was produced by Ekta Kapoor.
Rajput died in 2020 with suicide the official cause of death. However, there has been widespread doubt over whether this was indeed the case.
His girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty was also highly scrutinised after she was linked to his death.
Lokhande has previously spoken about how supportive Jain had been of her when her ex-boyfriend died.
On Instagram, she had written a lengthy post which included:
“I love you because you stayed by my side, and you promised that everything will be okay.
“You kept your promise, and you always came through for me. For that, I will always be grateful to you.
“It’s been a very challenging year, and knowing that I have you by my side made all the difference.
“I don’t know where I’d be without you. I love you more now because of this.”
The actress had also previously said when asked about marriage:
“Marriage is something which is very beautiful.
“Yes, I am super excited about my marriage, which is going to be soon. I am hoping for that.”
Ankita Lokhande has most recently reprised her role of Archana in ZEE5’s web series Pavitra Rishta – Its Never too Late (2021).
