"Can you call the police please?"
Shocking footage showed a Sikh bus driver being assaulted and having his beard pulled before being thrown from his vehicle.
The suspect then took control of the bus and collided with several vehicles while driving on the wrong side of the road.
The incident happened in Telford on September 18, 2026.
The clip, filmed by two women, showed the man standing close to the bus driver’s cab window and holding onto his beard, demanding that he hand over a phone.
Things became physical as the attacker headbutted the driver twice, shocking the women, who gasped:
“What are you doing?”
The attacker turned to them and told them to not get involved.
The visibly scared bus driver said he would oblige with the man, but his beard was yanked at again.
The bus driver then asked the women: “Can you call the police please?”
As the women called the police, the attacker reached into the cab and began pulling at something. He ended up removing the ticket machine and held it over his head, supposedly threatening to hit the bus driver with it.
The assailant continued demanding the phone before appearing to strike the bus driver with the machine.
He then appeared to reach into his pocket but it was unclear what he was searching for.
The clip ended with the enraged man picking up a clear screen.
It was reported that the assailant then forced the bus driver out and hijacked the vehicle.

Another clip showed the bus driven along Park Way towards the High Street, travelling on the wrong side of the road while some people chased after it.
Police were called to Court Street shortly after 6:30 pm.
Officers arrested the suspect, aged in his 20s, on suspicion of robbery and dangerous driving after the bus was stopped. He remains in police custody while inquiries continue.
The bus driver was treated for minor injuries by paramedics. No one else is believed to have been injured.
Detective Sergeant Taigh Lannie said:
“We understand this will have been an alarming incident for those in the area this evening.”
“I’d like to reassure the community that officers responded quickly and a man has been arrested and remains in police custody.”
Detectives have appealed for witnesses and anyone who may have captured footage of the incident.
Police are particularly asking people who were in the Court Street, Park Way or High Street areas at the time to check dashcam, CCTV, mobile phone or doorbell recordings.
