“He was everything that doesn’t have a definition"

Indian actor Siddharth Gupta has revealed what it was like living with the late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Between 2018 and 2019, Siddharth and Sushant lived together. The former revealed that SSR hated being alone and was in a deeply spiritual place when they shared their abode.

Speaking to The Quint, Siddharth recalled what Sushant Singh Rajput was like as a person at that time. He explained:

“He was everything that doesn’t have a definition to be very honest, he was a mentor, he was a brother.

“Staying with him was like getting inspired every day. The reason we connected was a lot of common interests, we were a lot into sports.

“I’m majorly into sports, he was majorly into sports, I’m an engineer, he is an engineer, I’m into science, he is into science.

“And beyond that, he took me to the other side of it where he made me understand the biggest thing, consciousness, he was a maverick.”

Siddharth continued to mention that the late actor enjoyed other people’s company. He said:

“He was a mad person. I thought he was a genetic specimen. He didn’t like being alone.”

Siddharth Gupta further added that while he would go to bed at a certain time like other “mere mortals”, SSR would “pass out.”

He explained that the late actor would fall asleep without warning and in a few hours, he was awake and singing devotional songs.

He added:

“When I would get up, two cups of coffee would already be ready for me. I’m a coffee addict because of him.”

Speaking about SSR’s spiritual phase, Siddharth said:

“I’ve met him at different phases and in every phase, he was a different person.”

“He could talk about anything under the sun. One thing I learned from him is that consciousness is something we should be grateful for.

Siddharth Gupta continued to mention that SSR’s death was a great loss for him because “he had great dreams and he taught us how to dream.”

Previously in August 2020, Siddharth shared a picture of himself with Sushant in the pool. He wrote:

“This goes to show that when people unify for a certain cause with all the passion, belief and intent, the effect it concur’s can overtake the biggest of societal power bridled entities!

“My faith is restored in the judiciary system and in the justice. My faith is restored in the people and their power! A step closer to that starry night!”
