However, now the rumour has come to an end as recently, Shubman revealed his crush during a media interaction and his reply stormed up the Internet.
The cricketer said that he has a crush on actress Rashmika Mandanna.
In a recent media interaction, Shubman Gill was asked about the actress he liked the most.
Initially, Shubman tried to avoid answering the question by laughing it off but when probed further, he named Rashmika Mandanna and said that he has a crush on her.
The news that Shubman Gill has a crush on Rashmika has gone viral now and fans of Rashmika are trending it on social media.
Further, fans are eagerly waiting to see how Rashmika would react to this.
Rashmika is often called the ‘national crush’ on social media.
Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who started her career with the 2016 Kannada movie Kirik Party, became a pan-India actress after the 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise opposite Allu Arjun.
She has appeared in two Bollywood films, Goodbye and Mission Majnu.
She has reportedly also signed for an untitled project opposite Tiger Shroff.
She is currently shooting for two films Pushpa: The Rule, where she reprises her role from the first movie, and the film Animal opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
Shubman GIll’s name has also often been linked with actress Sara Ali Khan as they have often been spotted together in social gatherings as well as dining in restaurants.
But the two have always maintained that they are friends.
According to a recent report, Shubman and Sara are merely good friends and will stay that way.
They met at a common party and hit it off right away, according to sources, and nothing more is brewing between the two.
Meanwhile, Shubman made an appearance on Sonam Bajwa’s show earlier and spoke about Sara.
When he was asked to name the fittest actor in Bollywood, he took Sara’s name.
When Sonam asked him if he was dating Sara, he said: “Maybe.”
Sonam later told him: “Sara da sara sach bolo please.”
To this, Gill replied: “Sara da sara sach bol reyaan.”
On the work front, Sara will be seen in Gaslight with Vikrant Massey.
She also has Laxman Utekar’s next with Vicky Kaushal, Ae Watan Mere Watan, and Homi Adajania’s film in the pipeline.
