‘Sinf-e-Aahan’ has been nominated for six Lux Style Awards, leaving Sajal Aly overwhelmed at her ‘Best Actor’ nomination.

Sajal Aly expressed her gratitude after being nominated for ‘Best TV Actor’ for her performance in Sinf-e-Aahan at the Lux Style Awards.

The show has been nominated for six awards.

Sajal wished the whole team good luck and admitted that the serial was not an easy one to work on.

She stated: “This project wasn’t easy for anyone.

“When Sana Shahnawaz called me I knew I was going to play the character without even reading my part.

“And of course, it was always a dream to work with Nadeem Baig.

“From the producers to our great director, our crew and cast, you all did a great job.”

Sinf-e-Aahan has been nominated for:

  • Best Emerging Talent (Critic’s Choice) – Dananeer Mobeen

Sinf-e-Aahan centres on six headstrong women who join forces and become members of the Pakistan Army.

It stars the likes of Yumna Zaidi, Ramsha Khan, Syra Yousuf, Kubra Khan, Ali Rehman, Asad Siddiqui and Usman Peerzada.

The serial was well-received by viewers and many called it a source of inspiration for women who wished to make a career in fields that are usually dominated by men.

One fan wrote: “This drama is so well put together and so inspirational.”

Another said: “This serial touched me deeply, we are all the same.

“Our emotions, our patriotism and our love for our motherland. Thank you so much for this wonderful piece. It made me very emotional.”

Referring to the serial as a “top-notch production”, a third added:

On the work front, Sajal Aly is set to star in The Pink Shirt alongside Wahaj Ali, which will be an eight-part series.

The series will follow the story of Sophia and Umer who are both in toxic relationships and their journey to discovering what love should mean.
