Sabeena Farooq made her name in the entertainment world with her exceptional acting skills.
From her portrayal of Haya in Tere Bin to Barbeena in Kabli Pulao, Sabeena has time and again proved that she is a welcome addition to the drama industry.
Once again she has hit the headlines, but this time it isn’t for her latest character or her most recent holiday destination.
A series of photographs have become viral in which Sabeena is seen donning a more masculine look.
The photographs are far from Sabeena’s usual glamorous photographs showcasing her luscious locks, beautiful jewellery and elegant outfits.
However, in the new images, Sabeena represents what seems like men’s fashion, complete with a suit, slicked-back short hair and a pose often seen on the front page of a men’s fashion magazine.
Posing for Niche Lifestyle, the photographs show Sabeena in a grey tweed suit, with her hair gelled back to imitate a male haircut.
Another image shows her in a mustard jacket and trousers, sitting on the floor, again with her hair gelled back.
The comment section was rife with negative feedback and individuals questioned why Sabeena agreed to such a photoshoot.
One user asked: “Who styled her like this? She’s such a beautiful girl and you’ve made her look like a man.”
Referencing her Kabli Pulao character, another wrote:
“The journey from Barbeena to Babar.”
Fashion magazine Niche Lifestyle took to Instagram to share an image of their front cover.
The caption read: “Presenting our October 2023 cover star Sabeena Farooq – an actor who has been in the industry since 2016, but recently broke into the scene as the scheming ‘Haya’ in Tere Bin.
“With her current drama Kabli Pulao already receiving critical acclaim and receiving praises from industry superstars, it’s safe to say that her time is now.”
Unfortunately, the cover photo did not appear to have had the desired effect and many fans expressed their disappointment.
One user commented:
“My sister is so beautiful, why did you have to make her look so masculine?”
Another wrote: “Who did this styling? It’s inappropriate and disturbing!”
A third added: “I don’t know whether to call her handsome or beautiful.”
