Rukku also featured in the 2023 film The Buckingham Hospital
Rukku Nahar looks virtually unrecognisable since her time in EastEnders.
The actress played Habiba Ahmed from February 2019 until October 2020.
Habiba exited Albert Square after her boyfriend Jags Panesar (Amar Adatia) was arrested and imprisoned.
It was later revealed that Habiba was pregnant with Jags’ child and she delivered a baby boy off-screen, with her sister Iqra (Priya Davdra) breaking the news before she also left Walford.
Since her departure, Habiba has rarely been mentioned, with her immediate family – the Masoods – also no longer residing in Albert Square.

However, in recent weeks, her character has been brought up by Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) as he decided to reach out to her about meeting his grandson in an attempt to win over his ex-wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal).
Despite Habiba’s name being mentioned and her son making a trip to Walford, it doesn’t seem likely that she will be making a comeback anytime soon.
After quitting EastEnders, Rukku Nahar has gone on to star in the BBC series Flatmates.
She also played Indu in the ITV series The Good Karma Hospital.
Rukku also featured in the 2023 film The Buckingham Hospital as Harleen, and the short film Blame in 2021.
Since leaving EastEnders, the 28-year-old has a large social media following, with over 61,000 Instagram followers.
On Instagram, she shares photos from her life in London as well as sunny picnics and lively nights out with her friends.

She remains close with her former on-screen sister Priya.
Rukku made her professional acting debut in an episode of the YouTube comedy series Corner Shop Show.
In 2016, she played Selina Khan in the CBBC drama series Wolfblood.
Rukku’s departure from EastEnders was kept a secret until after her final scenes were broadcast in October 2020.

She announced her exit on Instagram, expressing gratitude for what she has learned and the bonds she formed while portraying Habiba.
EastEnders fans have been calling for Habiba’s return after an unexpected appearance by her son Tye.
Fans took to social media to voice their queries and desires, with one fan posting:
“Where’s Habiba? The grandson came alone?”
Another wrote: “Tye is back in Walford. I wish Habiba came back with him.”
A disappointed fan commented: “Suki and Tye are so cute. It’s just a shame that Habiba didn’t come back to Walford.”
