"I will create content with more responsibility.”
Ranveer Allahbadia has shared his first Instagram post and YouTube video following backlash over his remarks on Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent.
He announced that his podcast, The Ranveer Show, will return with improved quality.
Ranveer said: “We will actually change the country through our content and our work.”
He also apologised to fans for his comments on India’s Got Latent.
Ranveer began his video by thanking fans who supported him.
He also expressed gratitude to his family and team:
“Not a single person in the team resigned through this whole phase.”
The internet personality mentioned that actors, cricketers, bureaucrats, and business professionals who appeared on his podcast reached out during the controversy.
Ranveer promised to create content with greater responsibility:
“So many people consider me a son, so many people consider me a brother, mainly sorry to all of them.
“In the next 10, 20, 30 years, as long as I create content, I will create content with more responsibility.”
He acknowledged that many young viewers watch his show and pledged to carry on his work responsibly, adding:
“I have a responsibility towards you.”
Ranveer revealed that his podcast is in the “restarting phase” and asked his audience for another chance.
He pledged: “Please make space for me in your heart. Give me one more chance. I love content creation a lot, I love podcasting a lot.
“Exploring the history and culture of our country is my passion. That’s what I am doing through my job.”
He also spoke about his mental health struggles following the backlash.
Ranveer credited meditation, sadhna, and prayer for helping him cope.
He said:
“I consider this phase as a gift from God. Now I am just going to let my work speak.”
Ranveer also shared an Instagram post featuring his family and team.
He wrote: “Thank you to my loved ones. Thank you universe. A new blessed chapter begins – Rebirth…”
Ranveer Allahbadia caused controversy in February 2025 when he asked a contestant an inappropriate question.
Masked as a joke, Ranveer asked:
“Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day or join them to end it once and for all?”
His fellow judges erupted in laughter.
Ranveer also asked another contestant to perform oral sex on him in exchange for Rs. 2 Crore (£184,000).
His remark led to widespread uproar.
On March 3, the Supreme Court lifted ban on Ranveer’s podcast but with strict guidelines, asking him to ensure that his podcast adheres to moral and decency standards, making it suitable for audiences of all ages.
