Pokémon launches merchandise in India

Pokémon fans in India will soon be able to own an amazing range of merchandise of the iconic brand.

Dream Theatre Pvt (Ltd), in association with The Pokémon Company, is aiming to make Pokémon one of the strongest properties in the country.

Mr. Jiggy George, Founder and CEO of Dream Theatre Pvt. Ltd says: “Pokémon is on a strong growth trajectory in India and is fast becoming one of the most popular properties.

“We are thrilled to see the same reflected in the licensing programme in the sheer variety of products available now for fans.

Part of their quest includes filling shelves with authentic merchandise perfect for any aspiring Pokémaniac returning to school this spring.

Alternatively, if you’re too old to be seen riding a scooter but still want to show your Pokémon fandom, there are soon to be an assortment of Pokémon phone cases to be released.

Pokémon was picked up by the Mumbai based Hungama TV in May 2014. They started airing the original series, went on to showcase the XY series from May 2015.

They followed up by showing the Advanced Generation series which launched in September 2015.
