Indian actress and model Divvya Chouksey has tragically passed away after losing her battle with cancer at a young age on Sunday, 12 July 2020.
News of Divvya’s demise was revealed by her cousin Soumya Amish Verma on Facebook.
She shared several pictures of the actress and captioned it:
“I have to tell with great sadness that my cousin Divvya Chouksey has died today at a very young age due to cancer.
“She did an acting course in London, she was also a very good model. She has worked in many films, serials and earned a name in singing.
“Today she left us. May her soul rest in peace.”

Divvya’s close friend Nikarika Raizada also shared the news on her social media. She wrote:
“It is very sad to hear the news about Divvya Chouksey’s demise. She was of a vibrant and enthusiastic personality. We will miss her.”
In fact, Divvya posted details of her health on Saturday, 11 July 2020, on her Instagram story. Sharing a cryptic message, she wrote:
“Words cannot suffice what I want to convey, the more the less, since it’s been months am absconded & bombarded with Plethora of messages, it’s time I tell you guys, I’m on my deathbed.
“S*** happens, I’m strong af.”
“Be there another life of non-suffering. No questions, please. Only god knows how much you mean to Me. DC bye.”
The actress used to give hints about her illness on social media. Back in May 2020, Divvya tweeted:

Divvya hailed from a family of Bhopal-based lawyers. She completed her primary education in Bhopal before graduating from Delhi.
The actress then went on to complete an acting degree from Bedfordshire University in London.
She was also a contestant on Miss India. After gaining recognition, she began working in films.
She is known for her role as Sanya Dalwani in the 2016 romantic-comedy film, Hai Apna Dil Toh Awara.
The film features a host of stars. These include Sahil Anand, Niyati Joshi, Divvya Chouksey, Vikram Kochhar, Nilesh Lalwani and Jayaka Yagnik.
Hai Apna Dil Toh Awara (20116) follows the lives of three couples. They each have their own outlook of life which collide with one another.
As well as acting Divvya was a trained in Kathak and ballroom dance. She was also well-known for her song, ‘Patiyaale Di Queen’ (2018).
Divvya Chouksey leaves behind her parents, sisters and brother.
