The student and their parents also reportedly took part in the assault.

At a private school in Karachi’s Jamshed Quarters, a female teacher was allegedly assaulted by a student’s family, including a serving police officer.

The attack, which took place on school grounds, has sparked outrage and prompted an investigation.

According to the FIR filed at Jamshed Quarters Police Station, the dispute began when the teacher took disciplinary action against the student.

The student arrived late, and as a minor punishment, the student was made to stand for a brief period.

Two days later, the student’s parents and maternal uncle reportedly came to the school to confront the teacher about the incident.

What began as a verbal altercation soon turned violent.

The FIR claimed the student’s uncle identified himself as the Station House Officer (SHO) of Kalakot Police Station.

During the confrontation inside the principal’s office, he allegedly attacked the teacher.

The student and their parents also reportedly took part in the assault.

Several female teachers who tried to intervene were also manhandled during the scuffle, according to the report.

CCTV footage from the school has now surfaced, allegedly showing the assault as it happened.

Law enforcement has confirmed that the accused officer is currently serving and remains on active duty.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East, Dr Farrukh Raza, has officially taken notice of the case.

He has directed a full inquiry and stated that the matter is being treated seriously.

Departmental proceedings against the officer have already begun.

The police stated that legal action will follow once all evidence, including CCTV footage, is reviewed and verified.

Parents, teachers, and civil society members expressed their concern over the rising trend of violence in educational spaces.

Many are calling for stricter safeguards to protect school staff from similar incidents.

A user said: “This is horrifying. If a police officer behaves like this inside a school, where are we safe?”

Another commented:

“This is not just about one teacher, it’s about the safety of all educators.”

Authorities have urged the witnesses and school officials to cooperate fully with investigators.

The police have promised a transparent inquiry and appropriate legal steps against all those involved.

As the investigation continues, school officials are reviewing internal protocols to ensure such violence does not recur.

More updates are expected once statements from witnesses are recorded and the video evidence is formally assessed.
