Another Pakistani heartthrob has managed to steal the hearts of adoring fans

Pakistani celebrities; whether models, actors or even singers, Pakistan is not short of talented stars who have won the hearts of millions.

With their growing fame their international demand has increased, and so some of Pakistan’s biggest stars have ventured into the realm of Bollywood to further flaunt their talent.

Singing, dancing and acting, these stars have proved their worth and even stirred up some controversy in their foreign endeavours.

DESIblitz takes a look at some of Pakistan’s biggest stars who decided to take on Bollywood.

1. Fawad Khan

Everyone’s favourite heartthrob from Pakistan finally took the plunge into Bollywood with the film Khoobsurat opposite Sonam Kapoor.

Fawad’s dashing good looks and effortless onscreen charm had audiences swooning worldwide.

After Khoobsurat there is no turning back for this Pakistani idol. Working alongside Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra in the upcoming movie Kapoor and Sons, Fawad has shown that he is here to stay!

2. Imran Abbas Naqvi

Imran’s irresistible looks and success has made him a household name in Pakistan.

His growing fame and adoration naturally meant that Bollywood would want a piece of this hunk.

Getting a chance to work alongside the stunning Bipasha Basu, the melodious track ‘Mohabat Barsa De’ had every girl falling in love with Imran.

3. Mahira Khan

Mahira’s sweet girl next door charm is difficult not to love. Lighting up the screen with her smile and charisma, she has gained a loyal fan following.

After the international success of the film Bol, Mahira was offered a chance in Bollywood with none other than the King himself Shahrukh Khan!

We will soon see Mahira alongside Shahrukh Khan in his upcoming film Raees.

4. Veena Malik

Pakistan’s controversial model, Veena Malik, was notorious for her raunchy modelling photo shoots.

Veena made her debut in Bollywood with the bold item song ‘Channo’ which was a hit! She followed this with another item song, ‘Fann Ban Gayi’.

Sparking controversy and distaste from the media in Pakistan, didn’t stop her from working in other Bollywood films. Veena has made her mark in Bollywood and is now married with two children.

5. Atif Aslam

Churning out hits including ‘Doorie’ and ‘Yeh Meri Kahaani’, this Pakistan’s rock star built an impressive fan following and eventually became an international star.

It didn’t take long for Bollywood music directors to rope in this talent to belt some hits.

After taking Bollywood by storm with hit songs including ‘Tu Jaane Na’, ‘Tere Liye’ and ‘Pehli Nazar Main’, Atif has secured a place as a successful singer in Bollywood films.

6. Humaima Malik

Proving her acting worth in the super hit Pakistani film Bol (2011), Humaima received praise for her performance.

Following this Humaima made her Bollywood debut alongside Emraan Hashmi in Raja Natwarlal (2014).

Flaunting her impressive figure in the item song ‘Namak Paare’, and sharing a passionate onscreen kiss with co-star Emraan, Humaima surely got the tabloids busy.

7. Javed Sheikh

Senior actor Javed Sheikh is a well-respected actor in both Pakistan and India.

After a long successful career in Lollywood Javed has been welcomed by the Bollywood industry with open arms.

Working in Namastey London (2007) with stars such as Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, to Shahrukh Khan’s blockbuster Om Shanti Om (2007), he has proved his talent alongside Indian superstars.

8. Ali Zafar

Another Pakistani heartthrob has managed to steal the hearts of adoring fans.

His melodious voice helped him pave a successful music career in Pakistan, and this led to him following his creative opportunities in India.

Acting alongside Katrina Kaif in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011), Ali also lent his voice to the hit song ‘Madhubala’.

Following this with the film Kill Dil (2014) and Total Siyapaa (2014), Ali has entrenched his stardom in Bollywood too.

9. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan

Rahat’s musical talent had created waves across the world, and his powerful voice and Qawwali inspired singing style gave him a unique place in the Bollywood music industry when he debuted.

This vocal talent helped Rahat to produce countless musical hits for some of Bollywood’s biggest superstars including Salman Khan in super hit songs ‘Teri Meri’ and ‘Tere Mast Mast Do Nain’.

10. [Late] Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan

This iconic internationally recognised Qawwali singer was admired in Bollywood for years.

The Pakistani born singing superstar created a frenzy and loyal fan following with his powerful singing voice.

Nusrat sang superhit songs in many Bollywood films, including ‘Dulhe Ka Sehra’ and ‘Koi Jaane Koi Na Jaane’, which are two timeless wedding songs that are adored to this day!

11. Mikaal Zulfiqar

Mikaal’s gorgeous looks and acting ability has been evident and praised in his successful television drama serials.

Mikaal ventured into Bollywood with the action thriller Baby (2015) alongside Akshay Kumar.

However, with the film banned in Pakistan due to the controversy surrounding terrorism his Pakistani fans were unable to see him on screen.

The success of these Pakistani superstars in Bollywood has enabled them to prove their talent to a wider audience, whilst adding their individual touch to the Bollywood industry.

The diverse talent of these singers, actors and models has enabled these Pakistani stars to shine in Bollywood!
