Nora Fatehi was subjected to trolling after she claimed Brad Pitt “slid into her DMs”.
The actress made the claim whilst speaking to Grazia India.
In a clip circulating on Reddit, Nora was asked who is the most famous person to slide into her DMs.
Implying that her fans might find it hard to believe, Nora says:
“Wait for it, you’re not ready.”
After a brief pause, Nora reveals: “Brad Pitt.”
Her reply went viral, however, social media users began trolling Nora, unconvinced that this happened.
Many pointed out that the Hollywood A-lister does not have Instagram.
One said: “Brad Pitt is not on Instagram lol.”
Another said: “I don’t get how he slid into her DMs when he doesn’t use Instagram.”
A third asked: “Are we supposed to believe it?”
One Reddit user claimed that Brad Pitt does not know who Nora is.
Some took digs at Nora by referencing alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Nora has been questioned on the matter after it was revealed that she accepted gifts from him.
One person said: “So, Brad Pitt’s been in her DMs, yet she hangs out with guys like Sukesh?”
Another user said: “Maybe Brad Pitt is one of the aliases Sukesh used with her.”
Despite the rampant trolling, some Reddit users defended Nora Fatehi, with many pointing out that DMs are not solely restricted to Instagram.
One person stated: “Guys and galz… DM doesn’t only mean Instagram!!
“Get the f*** out of that app… you all spending your whole life in there… for real.”
Another commented: “DMs doesn’t only mean IG.”
Others believed Nora, stating it is normal for A-list celebrities to contact social media influencers because they find them attractive.
One person wrote: “I don’t know why the comment section is acting like Hollywood men are out of this world and wouldn’t slide into an Insta model’s DM like hers.
“If anything, Adam Levine has taught us that’s exactly what they do.”
