It is reported that Mouni Roy will tie the knot with a Dubai-based banker, someone she has allegedly been in a relationship with since 2019.
The Bollywood actress had been previously linked to actors Mohit Raina and Gaurav Chopra, however, it seems she has found “the one” during a trip to Dubai.
Her rumoured boyfriend, Suraj Nambiar, is a banker based in Dubai.
According to reports, Mouni is very close to Suraj’s parents and she is set to take their relationship to the next level.
A source close to Mouni and Suraj said: “Her comfort level with his parents will be one of the major factors in precipitating her decision.”
Social media pictures of the two together have fuelled speculation since 2019, however, Mouni has always dismissed the reports.
She had said that she wanted to focus on her career and was yet to find the right man for herself.
Mouni explained at the time: “People who matter know I’m single and it’s not about the shortage of time because you can compartmentalise your life.
“But I need to meet the right person, I can’t just pick someone and start dating. At the moment I’m grateful for this window (movies) that has opened in my life.
“I don’t think I should throw it away by not giving my 100 per cent to it.”
While it is just speculation, if Mouni does indeed get married, then it looks like 2021 will be a big year for her.
On the work front, Mouni Roy will next be seen in Brahmastra alongside Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan. Mouni will reportedly play an antagonist in the film.
Talking about working alongside Amitabh, Mouni had previously said:
“It was surreal. I was like this little puppy who was just excited to see him and didn’t know what to do and after giving a shot with him I could have happily died.
“Who would have imagined that a girl from Cooch Behar would be sharing the screen with Amitabh Bachchan.”
Mouni Roy hit headlines after India’s National Stock Exchange (NSE) tweeted pictures of the actress, leaving social media users confused as to how such an error was made.
The post was accompanied by a series of questionable hashtags like ‘beautifuldiva’, ‘sexydiva’ and ‘hotgirl’.
After realising the error, the post was deleted and NSE issued an apology, however, netizens took the opportunity to troll the NSE.
