This new project will feature rising stars Nazifa Tushi and Mostafizur Noor Imran in lead roles.
Sumon’s previous film, released in 2022, captivated audiences and garnered significant box office success.
It drew crowds to both multiplexes and single-screen cinemas alike.
Hawa, which marked Sumon’s directorial debut, boasted a talented ensemble cast.
This included notable actors such as Chanchal Chowdhury (Chaan Majhi) and Sariful Razz (Iba).

Roid was first announced in 2021, and originally, the actress Jaya Ahsan was slated to produce the film.
She even secured a government grant of Tk 60 lakh for its production in 2020.
However, due to multiple delays in getting the project on the floors, Jaya decided to return the grant in 2024.
In an interview with Ajker Patrika, she explained: “The production process faced several delays.
“I felt it was inappropriate to hold on to the grant money without moving forward with the film, so I returned it.”
Despite this setback, Sumon confirmed that Roid would move forward under new terms. The project has recently begun filming in Sreemangal.
Now that Jaya Ahsan is no longer involved, Bengal Creations has stepped in as the new producer. The details of the film remain under wraps.
This is because Mejbaur Rahman Sumon has chosen to keep the specifics of Roid a secret until filming concludes and an official announcement is made.
Similarly, actor Mostafizur Noor Imran has stated that he will refrain from discussing the project until the production company releases a formal statement.
Having set the atmospheric tone of Hawa against the sea, Sumon is now shifting his focus to the mountains for Roid.
This change has sparked speculation that the new film will explore a different kind of mystery.
As production progresses, fans and film enthusiasts eagerly await updates on this promising new project.
