"Indian paparazzi don't know how to behave"

A tense exchange between Keerthy Suresh’s team and paparazzi at the Baby John screening has sparked anger.

The much-anticipated action-thriller Baby John, starring Keerthy Suresh and Varun Dhawan, hit theatres today, December 25, 2025.

Directed by Kalees, the movie is an official remake of Thalapathy Vijay’s 2016 blockbuster Theri.

Ahead of its global release, the filmmakers organised a special screening on Christmas Eve in Mumbai.

It saw the lead cast and crew in attendance.

Keerthy Suresh, known for her captivating style, turned heads in a stunning black saree, effortlessly stealing the spotlight at the event.

However, the evening took an unexpected turn, making headlines for a tense moment involving the actress’s team and a paparazzi.

The video captured Keerthy entering her car while paparazzi continued clicking as she bent down to take her seat.

This prompted a strong reaction from her staff, who confronted the photographers, saying:

“Why are you clicking like this? She’s getting in, no? How are you clicking such an objectionable photo? Don’t take it as she enters the car.”

The photographer rudely replied: “Why are you talking like this? Is it your first time here?”

Keerthy, visibly surprised and uneasy from inside the car, appeared to assess the situation.

She even checked her outfit to make sure there were no slips before gesturing as though she wanted to interject.

However, her vehicle drove off before she could address the issue.

The incident, now trending across social media, has drawn divided opinions.

Netizens criticised the paparazzi for overstepping boundaries.

A user wrote: “Indian paparazzi don’t know how to behave they think they have all the rights.”

Another commented: “Nowadays these photographers just take awkward pics, zooming on private parts, that’s not right.”

One said: “These photos are just a source of entertainment/medium to earn money by hook or crook.

“Media should ask themselves, at what cost do people/fans don’t need to be entertained?!

“It is common sense that there exists a decorum to take photos. They’re doing this sheer stupidity in the name of fans.”

Despite the controversy, the excitement surrounding Baby John remains high.

The film opened on December 25, 2024, to a wide audience, marking another significant milestone in Keerthy Suresh’s career.

Her portrayal, alongside Varun Dhawan’s action-packed role, has already garnered attention in early reviews.

The festive release has positioned Baby John as a top contender for holiday box-office success.
