Janhvi showcased a striking eye makeup look
Janhvi Kapoor has become a style icon in her own right.
Whether on the red carpet or on holiday, the actress knows how to make a fashion statement.
Her recent Instagram pictures have now created a whole new fashion trend, sending temperatures into orbit.
Janhvi posed in water but decided against a bikini. Instead, she opted for an aqua-hued backless dress that shimmered in the light.
As she struck a sultry pose in the water, the blue sequinned dress suited the setting.
Janhvi showcased a striking eye makeup look that accentuated the definition of her eyes, complementing her curves.
The winged eyeliner coupled with the purple eyeshadow was a sight to behold.
The ensemble was completed with diamond rings and a necklace.
Janhvi opted for a deep lip colour while she showcased a wet hair look, allowing her brunette locks to naturally cascade down her face.
Achieving a perfect balance of charm and grace, she presented a truly mesmerising sight.
Janhvi simply captioned the post:
“Dark Waters.”
Janhvi’s stunning pictures resulted in fans and fellow celebrities flocking to the comments section.
Social media sensation and Janhvi’s friend Orhan ‘Orry’ Awatramani posted a waves emoji.
Famed designer Manish Malhotra wrote: “Expressions.”
On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor was last seen in Bawaal alongside Varun Dhawan.
She also revealed that being the daughter of the legendary Sridevi “stressed” her out.
To cope with the comparisons, Janhvi tried to “detach” herself from her mother while she was filming her debut film Dhadak.
Janhvi explained: “Mom had only told me that my first film and performance won’t be compared to her first film, it’ll be compared to her last film and she said to me, ‘This kind of pressure I wouldn’t even want my enemy to have’.”
But Janhvi and her younger sister Khushi had to experience the pressure.
“My sister and I would initially stress a lot, and would get very nervous, overworked with the baggage.”
She eventually embraced the comparisons.
“But then I began to understand I’m being compared to mumma, so that’s the standard! I think that’s what started motivating me.”
Janhvi admitted that she regretted detaching herself from her mother.
She said: “When I started working on my first film, I was so conscious that I wanted to be completely detached from her because people anyway used to think that I got my first film because I am Sridevi Kapoor’s daughter.
“I don’t know what different trip I went on, that I will not take any help from my mother.
“I will act completely differently from my mom’s style of acting. I used to tell her not to come on sets.
“I used to feel I had an unfair advantage, a trump card.
“But now I feel I was foolish at that time. I am her daughter and nothing can change that truth. Now that she is not here, this is my biggest regret.”
