“It's an honour to make promises with and to you."
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan has officially confirmed her relationship with fitness trainer Nupur Shikhare.
There had been a lot of attention surrounding the relationship between Ira and Nupur.
Now, the rumours have come to an end after Ira Khan shared some romantic photos of the two of them on Instagram.
Ira’s photos mark the occasion of Promise Day.
The announcement was also made just a few days prior to Valentine’s Day.
Ira Khan’s pictures came on Thursday, February 11, 2021.
The post is captioned: “It’s an honour to make promises with and to you.”
The pair can clearly be seen making loving glances at each other, and are full of smiles and happiness.
Nupur Shikhare expressed his requited love for Ira Khan in the comments, simply writing: “I love you.”
Comments have been pouring in about the couple’s recent announcement, and many popular celebrities have also commented on the post.
TV actor Karanvir Bohra wrote: “How sweet.”
Fatima Sana Shaikh also left some red hearts under Ira Khan’s post.
Although there was a lot of speculation surrounding Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare’s relationship, the pair have clearly been in each other’s orbits for quite some time.
Nupur Shikhare is Ira’s father Aamir Khan’s fitness trainer. The newly-announced couple celebrated Diwali and Christmas together.
In October 2020, Ira Khan designed a tattoo for her beau Nupur.
She also took to Instagram to share photos and videos of her handiwork.
It was captioned:
“Bucket list item #5: Done. I JUST DID MY FIRST TATTOO! ME.
“Thanks @nupur_shikhare for trusting me and @ironbuzztattoos for making it possible.
“Not bad, right? I think I have an alternate career…”
Also in 2020, Ira Khan came forward to talk about her struggle with mental health on the occasion of World Mental Health Day.
Ira opened up on her battle with clinical depression on Instagram and has said that she has been trying to post more videos on mental health.
However, she admitted that she has been feeling low.
She also made reference to her cousin’s wedding, and how she suppressed her real feelings and forced a smile for the photos, despite being happy for the couple.
Although Ira Khan is yet to follow in her father’s footsteps with a Bollywood debut, she made her directorial debut in 2019 with Euripedes’ Medea.
The play featured her brother Junaid, with Hazel Keech starring in the lead role.
