It was a night of glitz and glamour in Mumbai as Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare hosted their wedding reception.
Held at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, the event was the talk of the town, drawing celebrities from different industries to celebrate the marriage.
Ira and Nupur officially tied the knot in front of family and close friends on January 3, 2024.
In contrast, their wedding reception was a star-studded one.
Aamir Khan, embodying the role of a perfect father, spared no effort in ensuring that his daughter experienced sheer joy.
The ceremony also witnessed a heartwarming moment as Aamir, accompanied by his sons Junaid and Azaad, posed for pictures with his ex-wife Reena Dutta and other family members.
Guests at the event included Sachin Tendulkar, Juhi Chawla and Farhan Akhtar, among others.
Shah Rukh Khan was accompanied by his wife Gauri Khan.
The renowned actor exuded sophistication in a sharp black ensemble, complemented by a neatly styled short ponytail.
Gauri looked ethereal in her traditional attire, adorned with exquisite danglers. Her loosely curled hair, and minimal makeup featuring highlighted nude lips and eyes, added a touch of grace.
The couple, capturing the essence of joy, struck a delightful pose alongside Aamir and Nupur’s mother Pritam Shikhare.
Kangana Ranaut also attended the event, months after she called Aamir “bechara”.
She wore a pink and grey lehenga.
Her appearance was surprising given her recent comments about Aamir. In 2023, she wrote in an Instagram Story:
“Sometimes I recall the time when Aamir Sir was my best friend… I don’t know where those days have gone.”
In a subsequent post, she discussed the legal battle between her and Hrithik Roshan:
“One thing is for sure that he has mentored me, appreciated me, and shaped a lot of my choices, before Hrithik did that legal case on me.
“Post that they made their loyalties clear – it was one woman against entire industry.”
Kangana also called Aamir “bechara” after he praised her at an event.
For the wedding reception, Ira Khan looked stunning in a red lehenga.
Meanwhile, Nupur kept things traditional by opting for a black kurta.
Jaya Bachchan attended the event with her daughter Shweta Bachchan and Sonali Bendre.
The veteran actress wore a royal blue kurta set with a multicoloured jacket.
Upon her entrance, the paparazzi requested Jaya, Shweta and Sonali to look towards them while posing. They requested her to pose at a specific spot on the red carpet, but Jaya firmly told them not to give her directions.
Jaya sarcastically asked: “Why are you teaching us the angle?”
Aamir recently opened up about his daughter’s wedding ceremony. He said:
“My emotion was like a shehnai. It’s an instrument which is actually played in shaadis.
“Shehnai has a quality that it gives you happiness and a little bit of sadness. It’s a mixture of emotions. Makes you happy and sad both. So, that’s my emotion.”
