Indian Wife beats Husband with Metal Rod for not Liking Food

A police case has been registered against an Indian wife for beating her husband over the head with a metal rod after he said he did not like her food.

The violent incident happened in the town of Barwala in Hisar, Haryana.

The man suffered head injuries and after being taken to the hospital, he registered a police complaint against his wife.

It was reported that he made the comment as his wife had added sugar to the meal.

In a fit of anger, the woman attacked him with the metal pipe.

The victim has been identified as 40-year-old Dinesh Kumar while his wife is named Bindiya.

The couple have been married since December 2011.

When they got married, the in-laws told Dinesh that Bindiya struggles to get to sleep and has to be given medicine as a result.

According to Dinesh, over the years, he gradually found out that his wife suffered from seizures and also had mental health problems.

This prompted him to get her treated at PGIMS Rohtak. The Indian wife was treated there for several months.

There was some improvement shown, however, this soon regressed.

Dinesh alleged that Bindiya would get angry at him while talking and would also hit him.

He also said that she is incapable of completing any housework properly. This includes washing the clothes and cooking the food.

On the evening of September 5, 2021, Dinesh was getting ready for dinner while his wife was cooking.

As he sat down at the table, he noticed that Bindiya added to the cooked vegetables.

He told her that he did not like the food and said that sugar should not be added to vegetables.

However, this enraged Bindiya. She grabbed a metal pipe and struck her husband over the head with it, causing bleeding.

During the assault, Dinesh shouted for help.

The attack came to an end when neighbours rushed into the house and took Dinesh to the hospital.

After receiving treatment for a deep cut to the head, Dinesh told the police what happened, explaining that his wife assaulted him when he told her of his dislike for her food.

He also said that the assault at the hands of his wife could have killed him.

A police case has been registered against Bindiya, however, no arrests have been made.
