"Heroes will fall. Warriors will rise."
The trailer for the spy action film War 2 has been released, and the film promises to be a thrilling rollercoaster.
War 2 serves as the sixth instalment of the popular YRF Spy Universe and is an extension of War (2019).
The new film sees Hrithik Roshan return as Major Kabir Dhaliwal and also stars NT Rama Rao Jr in his Hindi film debut.
Added to the talented mix is Kiara Advani, whose character is called Kavya Luthra.
Hrithik and NTR face off in this nail-biting trailer, which keeps the viewer eager to explore more of this deadly world of bravery and action.
The trailer for War 2 features a series of fast cuts to illustrate the film’s thrills.
It begins with Kabir saying in a voiceover: “I solemnly vow to sacrifice my name, my identity, my family, and to become a shadow.
“A nameless, faceless shadow.”
Then, NTR’s character says: “I solemnly vow to fight every battle which no one else will.
“Others may fall, but I will never back down.”
As the trailer cuts to Kavya and Kabir dancing romantically together, Kabir continues:
“Everyone that I ever loved, I will walk away from, and never look back.”
NTR declares: “I will cross every line between right and wrong and good and evil.”
Kabir says: “I will make sacrifices no one will ever know.
“Whatever the price, I will pay it. With my life or my soul.”
The trailer also shows Kavya and Kabir engaging in one-to-one combat after the former draws a gun on him.
A determined NTR proclaims: “Now, I am not a human. Only a weapon. A weapon to destroy, or to be destroyed.”
NTR’s character and Kabir then face each other, trading declarations before asserting their patriotism towards India.
The War 2 trailer goes on to showcase thrilling action involving water, jet skis, and elaborate sets.
Kiara’s iconic bikini look was also briefly seen.
The trailer declares: “Heroes will fall. Warriors will rise.”
Towards the end of the trailer, Hrithik and NTR find themselves in an icy environment where the ultimate battle will occur.
A character concludes the video and says:
“He is a soldier. You are a soldier. And this is war!”
The trailer attracted positive comments from fans.
One wrote: “Loved how they went for an emotional arc in the trailer. Highly excited.”
Another added: “That ‘Hrithik vs Kiara’ fight scene already looks jaw-dropping! Also, NTR in the fierce avatar!”
A third viewer commented: “Hrithik’s roar at the end! Definitely reserve me a seat for the first-day-first-show. Absolutely loving it!”
War 2 also stars Ashutosh Rana, with Anil Kapoor also allegedly appearing in the film.
The film is scheduled to be released on August 14, 2025, and is directed by Ayan Mukerji.
