Fitness fanatic Malaika Arora took to Instagram to share a Reel in which she performed several yoga moves to inspire her followers.

In a new video posted to Instagram, Malaika Arora performed a yoga routine after returning from a holiday in the Maldives with her boyfriend Arjun Kapoor.

Malaika is a fan of yoga and weightlifting amongst other fitness activities.

In her latest fitness video, Malaika can be seen performing three yoga exercises that benefit the leg muscles.

The video, which has since amassed over 125,000 likes, focused on beginner-level yoga poses for the leg muscles.

The three basic poses performed by Malaika included the Utkatasana or Chair Pose, Malasana or Garland Pose and Adho Mukha Svanasana or Downward Facing Dog Pose.

In the caption of the Instagram Reel, Malaika wrote:

“Namaste Everyone. Let’s begin this week with some beginner-friendly yoga poses that will help you get toned legs.

“These poses are simply my favourites as they are easy and oh so effective.

“Do include these asanas in your daily practice to get those sculpted legs.”

She also listed the benefits of each of the poses in the caption.

Malasana or the Garland Pose is an “excellent pose to strengthen your thighs and legs. This pose also helps release stiffness in the lower body”.

To do this pose, hold it for at least 20 seconds.

Malaika called Adho Mukha Svanasana or the Downward Facing Dog Pose her go-to asanas for improving physical and mental health.

She said: “It gives a deep stretch to the arms and legs and thereby helps tone the hamstrings, calves, arches and hands.”

Utkatasana or the Chair Pose “targets the quadriceps and the gluteal muscles.”

It is known for improving posture and balance while toning the overall body.

Malaika wrote: “Start by holding this pose for a few seconds and later increase the hold time as you develop body strength.”

Malaika returned to India after a romantic trip to the Maldives with her boyfriend Arjun Kapoor on December 6, 2021.

The couple kept their fans updated through their respective social media handles.

Arjun Kapoor shared a video of the couple’s last night in the Maldives.

Malaika could be seen walking towards the romantic spot which was covered in fairy lights and candles.

Arjun captioned his post:

“She is a vibe… and it’s on fleek!”

Malaika Arora is currently hosting India’s Best Dancer alongside Geeta Kapoor and Terence Lewis.

India’s Best Dancer is in its second season, which premiered in November 2021.
