"Shilpa has seen your photos and videos"
Indian actress Sherlyn Chopra has revealed that Raj Kundra persuaded her to do semi-nude shoots.
She has also disclosed how the businessman managed to convince her.
Raj Kundra, the husband of Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, was arrested for his alleged involvement in a pornography racket.
His arrest came on July 19, 2021. Since Kundra’s arrest, many actresses have come forward to reveal their connections to the entrepreneur.
Previously, Sherlyn Chopra accused Raj Kundra of sexual misconduct.
Now, she has said that Kundra got her to do semi-nude shoots by using Shilpa Shetty’s name.
According to Chopra, Kundra would tell her that his wife Shilpa Shetty liked her work, which encouraged her to do the shoots.
Chopra claimed that she was misguided and that she thought working with Raj Kundra would give her a big break.
In a recent interview, Sherlyn Chopra said:
“Raj Kundra was my mentor. He had misguided me, saying whatever I was shooting was for glamour.
“He even told me that Shilpa Shetty likes my videos and photos.
“Raj Kundra made me believe that semi-nude and porn is casual, everyone does it and so should I.”
Chopra continued:
“First time I met Raj Kundra, I thought working with him would bring a positive change in my career.
“I had the belief that working with him was a big break for me in my career but I never in my life had thought that Shilpa Shetty’s husband would make me do such illegal acts.”
Raj Kundra was arrested for allegedly producing and distributing pornographic films on mobile apps.
Chopra also said that Kundra promised her an app in her name, and that he constantly mentioned his wife’s name in conversation to motivate her.
She said:
“He wanted me to join him and the name of the app would be the ‘Sherlyn Chopra app’.
“During the shoot, I was encouraged. They used to say I am doing great and Shilpa has seen your photos and videos and has appreciated my work.
“And when you get so much praise from the seniors it does not make you feel that you are doing something wrong and it makes you think to do better.”
Raj Kundra is currently in judicial custody and has been since July 27, 2021.
The house he shares with Shilpa Shetty was also recently raided by police. Along with a script for a porn film, they recovered 48TB of adult content.
