Raj Kundra is facing fresh allegations that he filmed adult films with the likes of Poonam Pandey and Sherlyn Chopra.
A cyber police charge sheet in Mumbai claims that the adult films were filmed in five-star hotels across India, which were then distributed by OTT platforms.
The 450-page charge sheet also names Suwajit Chowdhary of Banana Prime OTT and Umesh Kamath, one of Raj Kundra’s staff members.
They allegedly produced a web series called Prem Paglani and other pornographic content and uploaded it to the streaming platform.
Police allege that Poonam Pandey developed her own mobile app and shot explicit videos with the help of Raj Kundra’s company.
Through her app, the videos were uploaded and distributed.
According to the cyber police charge sheet, Raj Kundra’s company also shot pornographic videos with Sherlyn Chopra.
Meeta Jhunjhunwala is accused of writing the script for Sherlyn Chopra’s videos and directing them.
Meanwhile, cameraman Raju Dubey has been accused of shooting these videos.
Raj’s company was allegedly distributing adult films and developing an app on the streaming platform.
Police claimed that his company and the other co-accused made the adult content knowing it was illegal and made a lot of money from it.
Police are now looking for more people associated with the pornography network.
The case also includes Ryan Thorpe, IT head of Raj’s firm Vian Enterprises, Singapore-based Yash Thakur alias Arvind Srivastava and Raj’s brother-in-law Pradeep Bakshi, who run companies and mobile apps under the names Kenrin and Hotshot.
Raj is also accused of making approximately 100 pornography films and freezing Rs. 65 million that was deposited in Yash Thakur’s bank accounts.
So far, the statements of 43 witnesses have been recorded.
Raj Kundra was arrested in July 2021 for allegedly creating and distributing pornographic films.
He was released on bail in September 2021.
During the investigation, both Sherlyn Chopra and Poonam Pandey made allegations against the businessman.
Despite the fresh allegations, Raj Kundra’s lawyer has denied them.
Prashant Patil said: “We’ve got to know from media reports that Mumbai Cyber Crime has filed a charge sheet in the matter before Court.
“We shall be present before Court to comply with the due process of law and collect a copy of the charge sheet.
“However, whatever allegations we could understand from the FIR and media reports, it can be safely concluded that my client has nothing to do with the said crime.
“There is no prima facie case made out against him.”
