Honsla Rakh continues to achieve success.
Released in October 2021, Honsla Rakh has dominated the box office worldwide with over a total collection of Rs. 54 crores (£5.4 million) globally.
Honsla Rakh became the highest-grossing Punjabi film after the reopening of cinemas due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Whilst Honsla Rakh continues to achieve success at the Indian box office, the Diljit Dosanjh-starrer is set to release in Pakistan soon.
Honsla Rakh will be released in Pakistani cinemas on December 24, 2021, and will be the first Indian-Punjabi film to be released after the reopening of cinemas across the country.
Diljit Dosanjh stars in the comedy film alongside Shehnaaz Gill and Sonam Bajwa.
Diljit plays an NRI in Canada while Shehnaaz plays his wife. They go on a date and it results in an accidental pregnancy.
She then files for divorce and insists that Diljit should have custody of the unborn child.
Shinda Grewal, the son of actor Gippy Grewal, plays Diljit’s son.
In the film, Diljit develops as a single father and takes care of his son. As his son grows older, Diljit falls in love with another woman, played by Sonam.
He tries to woo her in a bid to have a mother figure for his son. However, things are turned upside down when his first wife returns.
The news of the film’s Pakistani release date was shared by the Honsla Rakh team, including Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa and White Hill Studios, on social media.
Diljit Dosanjh and Sonam Bajwa took to their Instagram Stories to share a poster of the film.
On December 3, 2021, Diljit took to Instagram to share the box office collection figures that the film accumulated in 50 days.
Directed by Amarjit Singh Saron and written by Rakesh Dhawan, Honsla Rakh was also released on Amazon Prime Video in November 2021.
