Rumours about Hiba Bukhari’s pregnancy had been swirling for some time, fuelled by speculation surrounding her and husband Arez Ahmed.
The couple first made headlines after Nadia Khan hinted at the possibility of Hiba expecting her first child.
In response to the growing chatter, Hiba and Arez took to their YouTube channel to address the rumours directly.
In a candid video, they criticised the spread of false information and clickbait headlines surrounding their alleged baby news.
The couple firmly stated that the rumours were untrue at that time.
However, it has now been confirmed that Hiba is indeed expecting.
While in London for the Hum Awards 2024, she was dressed in a stylish green bodycon dress paired with a jacket. The actress proudly showcased her baby bump.
During the event, she officially announced her pregnancy.
Despite the joyous news, Hiba faced backlash for her choice of attire. Many viewers expressed their disapproval of her form-fitting dress.
Additionally, some critics suggested that Hiba was trying very hard to copy Bollywood star Deepika Padukone.
On September 28, 2024, Hiba and Arez conducted a live session on their official YouTube channel where they confirmed the pregnancy news.
They explained to their followers why they hadn’t shared it sooner.
Hiba Bukhari expressed her appreciation for her fans, stating:
“I always value your love and support. My fans are very precious to me.
“I have seen many people who are envious of me because of my supportive and caring fan base.
“Well, yes, we are pregnant. Me and Arez are soon going to be parents.”
She elaborated on her decision to keep the news private for a while, saying:
“In the meanwhile, I was busy working; I had many commitments which I had to fulfil.
“I think pregnancy is part of life; gone are the days when people used to stay at home during pregnancy.”
“Now, you should be working in your pregnancy days, if you can manage it easily.”
Hiba also mentioned their intention to share the news through a video, but circumstances led to it being revealed earlier than planned.
“We had thought a lot about sharing this news with our fans, but the most important thing is that the news is out and you guys know about it.
“I loved the way my fans and everyone supported us after the news was out.”
