"Nothing comes easy for me."
Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma are preparing for the release of their upcoming project, Lust Stories 2.
The Netflix anthology, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, features a collection of short films, including one by Ghosh himself, in which Tamannaah and Vijay will be seen onscreen together for the first time.
Their confirmation of dating each other coincided with the start of promotional tours and interviews for Lust Stories 2.
The anthology also includes short films by Konkona Sen Sharma, R Balki, and Amit Ravindernath Sharma.
In an interview with News18, Tamannaah was asked about her experiences with bad dates and whether she had ever engaged in sex on a first date.
She revealed that she had experienced a bad date but clarified that she had never engaged in sexual activity on a first date.
On the other hand, Vijay responded to the question by saying that he likely has done so in the past.
Director Sujoy humorously interjected by stating that he hadn’t been lucky enough in that regard, amusing everyone present.
Vijay then inquired about the possibility of having sex on the second date, to which Sujoy replied:
“I come from a pretty average middle-class family, I have to fight for everything. Nothing comes easy for me.”
The team was also asked during the interview if they believed in Neena Gupta’s dialogue from Lust Stories – ‘Shaadi se pehle test drive to karna chahiye’ (One should get a test drive before marriage).
Vijay Varma expressed his belief in everything Neena says, while Tamannaah remarked that it is wise to follow Neena’s advice as she is knowledgeable about such matters.
In other news, Tamannaah Bhatia revealed that she broke her no-intimacy rule for Lust Stories 2, explaining:
“I have had literally next to no intimacy.
“So for me as an actor, it was a great opportunity to understand that something like intimacy is also just like any other scene.
“It’s like a scene in which we are eating food, or it’s like a scene in which we are doing action. It is choreographed.”
Speaking about such scenes with Vijay, Tamannaah Bhatia said:
“I’ve never felt so safe around an actor. And that’s what’s really important for an actor. You need to feel that kind of safety.
“It’s like a jump you’re taking, especially in a film like this.”
Lust Stories 2 also features Kajol, Mrunal Thakur, Angad Bedi, Amruta Shubhash, Tillotama Shome, and Kumud Mishra, in addition to Neena, Tamannaah, and Vijay.
