Iqra Aziz recently took to Instagram to announce her debut voice-acting project.
She is set to voice female superhero Aira in Pakistan’s first 3D-animated film Allahyar and the 100 Flowers of God.
Releasing on June 28, 2023, Allahyar and the 100 Flowers of God is the sequel to 2018’s Allahyar and the Legend of Markhor.
In this film, Allahyar and his best friend Zero solve the mystery of the disappearing trees from the chinar forest.
They embark on an action-packed sci-fi adventure to a wonderful place, where they make new friends and help them save their world.
Anum Zaidi reprises his role as Allahyar while Ali Zafar returns as Hero.
Other stars lending their voicing talents include Humayun Saeed, Meera, Bushra Ansari, Nadia Jamil, Azlan Uzair and Azfar Jafri.
Meanwhile, the soundtrack has been composed by Ali Zafar, Ali Noor, Sanam Marvi, Bushra and Grehen the Band, ensuring an enthralling auditory experience for the audience.
Iqra Aziz has made her name in the entertainment industry and has captivated audiences with her unforgettable characters and excellent screen presence.
She gained popularity for her variety of roles.
Some of her most well-received dramas were the likes of Jhooti, Kasak, Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, Ghairat, Kisse Kahoon and Khamoshi.
She received the most love for the portrayal of Jia in Suno Chanda seasons 1 and 2.
Her personal life has also been in the limelight.
Iqra has been married to Yasir Hussain since 2019. They have a son named Kabir.
The actress has been constantly trolled about her marriage, with some critics questioning why she did not marry someone closer to her age.
Iqra has stated that she is happily married, insisting that Yasir is caring and that the age gap did not bother her.
Meanwhile, Yasir Hussain revealed that he wants a big family but ultimately, it is up to his wife as it is her body.
He said: “I do want a bigger family and more kids but I’ve left that choice to Iqra.
“It’s her body and her choice in a way that she will decide how many kids we should have, but I want more kids.
“In my opinion, a baby is the key to a successful marriage.”
“I understand people who can’t reproduce due to fertility issues but I don’t understand those who willingly do not try to have kids.
“I don’t know how close their bond is. My respect for Iqra increased after Kabir. He brought us closer than ever.”
