Pakistan’s renowned couple Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain got married in an astounding daytime wedding on Saturday 28, December 2019.
The couple got engaged at the Lux Style Awards 2019 on July 6, 2019. Yasir got down on one knee to propose to his ladylove.
Since the public proposal, fans and media have closely monitored the couple. Iqra rose to fame with her role as Jiya in the television serial Suno Chanda (2018).
Yasir is an actor, screenwriter, playwright and host. He is known for hosting The After Moon Show (2018) on Hum TV and playing the antagonist in Baandi (2018).
The most awaited wedding ceremony of 2019 took place with a mayun and mehndi ceremony .which was followed by the nikkah and barat ceremony.
The 22-year-old actress looked breathtakingly beautiful in an all-red traditional lehenga by Nomi Ansari. The heavily embroidered ensemble included intricate gemstone detailing throughout.
Iqra opted for muted gold statement jewellery to complement her attire. For her big day, her hair and makeup were done by celebrity stylist Waqar Hussain.
Nomi Ansari went on Instagram to share her delight for the amazing wedding dress designed for Iqra. She said:
“Our most anticipated work this year (2019) was definitely this magnificent piece we customised for the lovely Iqra Aziz.
“The full-sleeved choli and heavy lehenga are fully bedazzled with red-on-red embroidery and hand-worked embellishments that include sequins, gemstones and more.
“Paired with a red net dupatta that’s embellished with an intricate border, and scatter of small bootis and chann.
“We loved creating this piece as much as Iqra loved wearing it!”
To complement his bride, Yasir opted for a white and gold sherwani with a turban. He looked very handsome as a groom.
As expected their wedding was a star-studded affair with some of Pakistan’s finest celebrities in attendance.
The guest list included the likes of Asad Siddiqui, Asim Azhar, Hania Amir, Sajal Ali, Ahad Raza Mir, Asim Raza and many more.
The 35-year-old actor took to Instagram to share an amazing shot of Iqra as a bride along with a touching caption.
Yasir wrote: “Meet my Wife Iqra Aziz Hussain #wifeforever.”

Following her husband’s steps, Iqra also hopped on social media to make their union Instagram official. She said:
