On September 25, 2023, Harnaaz turned heads as she took to Instagram to upload a series of pictures, accompanied by the caption, “All my focus is on the good”.
Harnaaz’s stunning outfit is from the shelves of designer Divya Agarwal and comes with a price tag of Rs. 81,400.
Her styling was expertly done by fashion stylist Priyanka Castelino.
Her black attire featured a V-neck blouse with thin sleeves, intricate sequin embroidery all over and tassels at the hem.
She paired it with a satin draped skirt and an organza cape embellished with hand embroidery.
Assisted by makeup artist Mita Vaswani, Harnaaz decked up in nude eyeshadow, kohled eyes, smudged eyeliner, contoured cheeks and a shade of nude lipstick.
With the help of hairstylist Rasila Ravaria, Harnaaz styled her locks into soft curls and left them open in the middle.
Wearing diamond stud earrings and a matching ring adorning her finger, she completed the look.
Harnaaz Sandhu brought India glory when she was announced as the 70th Miss Universe in December 2021, 21 years after Lara Dutta was declared as the pageant winner.
Harnaaz beat 79 other contestants, including runner-up Miss Paraguay Nadia Ferreira and second runner-up Miss South Africa Lalela Mswane, to claim the prestigious title.
The previous Miss Universe, Andrea Meza of Mexico, crowned Harnaaz at the event, which was live-streamed globally.
Before winning Miss Universe 2021, Harnaaz had previously won Miss Diva 2021.
Harnaaz, who is from Chandigarh, began taking part in beauty pageants as a teenager, winning titles such as Times Fresh Face and Miss Chandigarh in 2017, and Miss Max Emerging Star India in 2018.
She was crowned Miss Universe India in October 2021.
On her preparation for Miss Universe 2021, Harnaaz previously said:
“I believe I am the only candidate who got the shortest time to prepare, but the team has been putting in a lot of effort to bring the best version out of India.
“And I am getting a lot of training, be it in terms of communication or putting myself out there confidently.
“I promise to each one of you that you will enjoy the process – all these efforts will not go in vain.”
