“I've broken up with Arjun Kapoor and I've started seeing Ali Zafar.”
Action film Kill Dil stars Govinda, Ranveer Singh, Ali Zafar, Parineeti Chopra, Kader Khan and Rocky Verma.
The movie is directed by Shaad Ali who previously directed Saathiya (2002), Bunty Aur Babli (2005), and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom (2007).
The story follows two ruthless murderers Dev (Ranveer Singh) and Tutu (Ali Zafar) who roam free, without a care in the world and doing whatever they want.
Look deeper into their backstory and the two were tragically vulnerable as they were abandoned when they were children. Bhaiyaji (Govinda) was the only person to have given the two shelter, and naturally taught them how to kill people.
Their lives go on as normal (well as normal as you would expect for two killers) but things turn upside down when Disha (played by Parineeti Chopra), a free spirited and attractive young women joins in with the three men.
The story unravels to tell the tale about rebelliousness, trickery and love.
Rumour has it that Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra fought a lot on the set of Kill Dil. They fought on various occasions. Wonder what they were fighting about? Both Ranveer and Parineeti were fighting over who was the bigger fan of Govinda!
Apparently Govinda recalls the both of them arguing so much that in nearly resulted to the two hitting each other just to prove who was the bigger fan. Govinda must have surely felt the love from his co-stars!
Ranveer admits: “It was a very surreal feeling sharing scene space with somebody who is pretty much the reason why you came into this line of work ever. He is a large part of the reason why I ever became an actor.
“It’s the work of all of these guys, Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, the three Khans, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan. These are the guys who have inspired me.”
Ali adds that working with Govinda was: “[A] Wonderful experience that words can’t really describe. I think in my books, he is the best dancer. The beauty in the way he dances and enacts is that he makes it look really simple. I was able to learn a lot and it was a very memorable experience.”
But Parineeti was quick to add that the bromance between Ali and Ranveer was quite strong as well. Ranveer jokingly quips: “I’ve broken up with Arjun Kapoor and I’ve started seeing Ali Zafar.”
It is clear from the promotional interviews that the trio have been giving that they have very quickly become fast friends and are entertaining all with their slapstick banter and pranks on each other.
Ali Zafar and Parineeti Chopra are known to be singers. Ali began his showbiz career as a singer in Pakistan, while Parineeti is a trained singer, the only one left amongst the three was Ranveer.
Ranveer was quite interested in singing as he heard Ali and Parineeti singing and humming on the set, and so his onscreen love interest Parineeti taught him ‘Sa Re Ga Ma’ in between shots on set for Kill Dil.
