“INDIA, are you ready?”
Fenty Beauty is finally landing in India, and this time, it’s for good.
Rihanna’s globally celebrated makeup and skincare empire has officially announced an exclusive retail partnership with Reliance Retail, making Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin available across Sephora India and Tira Beauty from August 7, 2025.
The launch will span 50 stores in 16 cities, as well as the online platforms of both retailers.
It marks the brand’s first formal entry into the Indian market after a brief appearance on Nykaa’s Cross Border Store earlier in 2024.
Rihanna herself broke the news to fans on Instagram and X, writing: “INDIA, are you ready?”
In a statement, Isha Ambani, director of Reliance Retail Ventures and founder of Tira Beauty, shared:
“This launch underscores our commitment to making the world’s best global brands available to the Indian consumer.”
Reliance Retail, India’s largest retail conglomerate, operates Sephora India under franchise and launched its beauty platform, Tira Beauty, in 2023.
With this move, it brings one of the most disruptive and inclusive beauty brands to South Asian shelves and screens.
Fenty Beauty was launched in 2017 under LVMH’s Kendo division and became an instant cultural phenomenon.
Rihanna created the brand after years of working within the beauty industry and noticing a major gap: a lack of inclusive products for all skin tones, types and textures.
The brand debuted with a 40-shade Pro Filt’r foundation range, later expanding to 50, earning praise and sparking the so-called “Fenty Effect”, a shift that pushed other brands to expand their offerings.
Fenty Beauty generated $72 million in media value in its first month alone and approached €500 million in global sales by the end of 2018.
The line has since expanded into skincare with Fenty Skin, and Rihanna’s stake in the brand played a major role in her becoming one of the wealthiest musicians and entrepreneurs in the world.
Some of the brand’s most talked-about products include the Pro Filt’r Foundation and the Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer.
Products like the Match Stix Contour Skinstick and Invisimatte Powder are also fan favourites, known for their performance on a wide range of skin types and tones.
Skincare essentials like the Fenty Skin Start’r Set have become go-to items for consumers looking for simple yet effective routines.
As Indian shoppers finally gain direct access to Fenty’s full lineup, the launch sets a new benchmark in global beauty retail, one that champions visibility, variety and bold expression for every skin tone.
