Fahad Mustafa has made history by becoming the first actor from Pakistan to receive two prestigious awards at the House of Commons.
The recognition came at a special ceremony organised by Multicultural UK.
Fahad was honoured for his remarkable contributions to cultural diversity and global unity through his work in the entertainment industry.
At the House of Commons, Bradford West MP Naz Shah presented him with the Diversity and Cultural Impact Award.
She acknowledged Fahad’s efforts in promoting cultural exchange and representation.
Meanwhile, Lord Wajid Khan awarded him the Global Cultural Unity Award, highlighting Fahad’s role in bridging communities through storytelling.
Fahad Mustafa shared his joy and pride on Instagram, expressing deep gratitude for the recognition.
He wrote: “Our Stories Really Matter!
“This recognition is not just mine – it belongs to every artist, every dreamer, and every storyteller in Pakistan who dares to dream big and cross boundaries.
“It is a testament to the power of our culture, our stories, and the unyielding spirit of unity that makes us shine on the global stage.
“As a proud Pakistani, I am deeply honoured and humbled to receive the Diversity and Cultural Impact Award and the Global Cultural Unity Award at the prestigious House of Commons.
“Every time I stand here, representing my homeland, I am reminded of the incredible strength, beauty, and potential of Pakistan and its people.”
The actor’s wife, Sana Fahad, expressed immense pride in his achievements.
In an Instagram post, she wrote: “What a proud moment for us. You deserve all the greatness. Moosa, Fatima, and I love you, and we are so proud of you.
“May you shine even brighter and brighter.”
Shanza Raja, director of Multicultural UK, praised Fahad Mustafa’s record-breaking accomplishments.
She talked about the global success of his TV show Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum.
Shanza Raja likened Fahad’s global appeal to the likes of Ryan Reynolds and Idris Elba, underscoring his widespread popularity and versatility as an actor.
She highlighted that Fahad’s recognition represents a milestone in showcasing South Asian talent on the world stage.
Raja claimed that his success serves as a beacon of inspiration for future generations.
This prestigious honour follows closely behind another historic moment for Pakistani cinema.
In November 2024, Mahira Khan received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the House of Commons.
