"He thought I would fall into his trap during an outdoor shoot."
Esha Gupta revealed that she has experienced the casting couch twice.
The actress recalled one instance where a filmmaker offered her professional opportunities in exchange for sexual favours.
When she refused his request, he no longer wanted her in the film. Esha also had to deal with those who criticised her for refusing.
Esha explained: “The film was half completed.
“When I refused, the co-producer told the maker that he did not want to see me in the film.
“What am I doing on set?
“After this, some makers even refused to cast me in films.
“I had heard that these people used to say about me that if I won’t do anything then what is the point of taking me in the film?”
Esha went on to reveal that there was another incident during an outdoor film shoot involving two individuals.
She elaborated: “Two people laid the trap of casting couch. I understood but I still did the film because it was a small move from their side.
“He thought I would fall into his trap during an outdoor shoot.
“I was also smart, I said I would not go to sleep alone. I called my makeup artist to sleep in my room.”
Expressing anger, Esha Gupta said:
“Such people cannot do these things with the star kids as their parents would kill them.”
Discussing their predatory acts, Esha reiterated that “they think that if we need work we can get anything done”.
Esha previously opened up about how she deals with trolling.
She said: “These people will always tell me what is good for me and what is not.
“And for trollers, it is like people will say something because it is their job to do that.”
On how she does not let the haters affect her, Esha continued:
“But trollers are fans only, that is why they are commenting on my post, right?
“They are my equal followers of those who love me.
“It is just that, trollers are fans with negative energy in their minds, so they express hatred. I or any sensible human being cannot be affected by them, we are living life!”
