Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhury) is set to use Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) in a devious romance plot in EastEnders.
After his arrival on the soap in 2022, the villainous husband of Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) took little time in making enemies on the Square.
Recent episodes of the show have seen Nish struggle to deal with Suki’s relationship with Eve Unwin (Heather Peace).
Elsewhere, a heartbroken Kat discovered that her husband Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) cheated on her with Emma Harding (Patsy Kensit) days before their wedding.
She found comfort in Nish’s arms, who gave her and her sons a flat to stay in.
Upcoming episodes will see Nish chastise Kat for shouting at Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) and gifting her a coat that is in complete contrast to her usual style.
All this will prompt Kat to leave Nish, which he doesn’t take lightly.
Consequently, Nish Panesar will evict Kat from the flat.
However, in the latest episode already uploaded to BBC iPlayer, Kat softened towards Nish when he found her missing son Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall).
The new couple agreed to give their budding romance another chance, but are Nish’s intentions all they seem?
In a scene, the businessman talks to Priya about his relationship with Kat.
Priya questioned: “What are you playing at? She humiliated you.”
Nish replied: “She has value, Priya.”
Priya then joked: “That’s a relief. For a second there, I thought it was all about romance.”
Nish Panesar smirked and explained: “Well, it’s the golden ratio.
“20% romance, 80% usefulness.”
This particular episode is set to be broadcast on BBC One on February 9, 2024, at 7:30 pm.
EastEnders has also seen Nish attempt to discover what really happened on Christmas Day 2023.
On the fateful festive occasion, Suki lured Nish to the Queen Victoria pub, where she firmly told him that she no longer wanted to be with him.
Enraged, Nish tried to force Suki back to him.
This forced a horrified Denise Fox (Diane Parish) to hit him over the head with a bottle.
An injured Nish found himself in a coma but was led to believe that Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) attacked him.
As his memory slowly returned, Nish recollected that Keanu was not there, and he currently assumes that Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) is his attacker.
What Nish doesn’t know, however, is that Keanu was in fact killed by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).
Nish Panesar might be a detestable villain, but he certainly brings drama to EastEnders that has fans on the edge of their seats.
