Disha Patani took to Instagram to announce that she is going to be a part of an “action-packed journey”.
Disha Patani shared a poster of Yodha with her name on it and wrote:
“Super glad to join this action-packed journey! I’m ready for take-off, guys, let’s go.”
The actress also added the action film’s release date.
Disha wrote: “Yodha lands in theatres near you on 11th November 2022.”
Karan Johar, whose Dharma Productions is behind the film, also made a similar announcement on social media.
Karan welcomed Disha Patani on board and shared the film’s posters with his 11.2 million Instagram followers.
In the caption, he wrote:
“The phenomenal and exceptionally talented female leads of Yodha are here.
“Welcoming the fierce, the gorgeous and ever charming Disha Patani to the family.
“Along with Raashii Khanna, who brings her spark and innocence to the role like no other!”
Directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, Disha Patani will be seen in Yodha alongside Raashii Khanna.
Raashii also joined in and shared the film’s poster that read:
“I am extremely honoured and excited to announce that I will be joining team #Yodha!”
In November 2021, the producer announced the lead actor of Yodha.
Sidharth Malhotra, who was recently seen as the lead in Karan Johar’s Shershaah, will also be seen in the lead role of Yodha.
Karan Johar’s tweet in which he announced Sidharth Malhotra’s role read:
“After conquering the peaks, I am proud to present Sidharth Malhotra back with power in the first of the action franchise by Dharma Productions – Yodha.”
Karan Johar also released a teaser of the film on Instagram, revealing Sidharth Malhotra’s first look.

As soon as the promotional footage was shared by Karan Johar, fans took to the comments section to share their opinion.
One user wrote: “Damn, I told you it will be a Sidharth Malhotra film.”
Another added: “All the respect to Sidharth Malhotra but this kind of action movie should have been given to the king of action Akshay Kumar sir.
“Is it the end of an era?”
A third commented:
“Dayummmmm. I’m super, super excited for this one. All the best to the whole team. This is gonna rock.”
Interestingly, Shahid Kapoor was first considered to star in the action film alongside Disha Patani, instead of Sidharth Malhotra.
However, Shahid walked out of the project making way for Sidharth.
