"we really hope to do it justice."
A Dabangg non-fungible token (NFT) collection is set to be released on December 30, 2021.
The collection will be launched by BollyCoin, a cryptocurrency platform that is backed by Salman Khan, the star of the Dabangg franchise.
Bollycoin is a platform that combines Bollywood and cryptocurrency.
It had announced its arrival in October 2021, with plans for a marketplace that would offer a selection of NFTs created from Bollywood.
But at the time, it did not reveal the film titles it would create NFTs with.
Now, the platform has announced that it would be collaborating with Dabangg, with the collection going live on December 30, 2021.
According to BollyCoin’s Instagram page, fans and shareholders will be able to bid on a variety of collectables.
This will include film clips, signed posters and character art.
BollyCoin also hinted that there will be a special surprise that will be announced soon.

Kyle Lopes, Co-Founder of BollyCoin, said:
“We’re excited and curious to see the audience’s response to the Dabangg NFT collection.
“It was one of the most requested films from our community, so we really hope to do it justice.
“The character and the franchise are undeniably iconic, so it’s definitely an exciting way to kick off our project.”
In addition to selling NFTs, BollyCoin also has its own cryptocurrency token, which is now listed on decentralised exchanges UniSwap and QuickSwap.
In November 2021, the platform said that it had closed its pre-sale round of 20 million tokens worth $2 million within a month.
BollyCoins were sold at a fixed price of Rs. 7 (7p) per token. By buying the tokens, holders can reap real-world benefits each time they sell the NFTs on the BollyCoin platform.
This comes as NFTs continue to grow in India, with many Bollywood celebrities introducing or announcing the release of their own NFT collections.
Previously, Amitabh Bachchan‘s NFT collection auctioned for nearly $1 million.
It opened on November 1 and ended on November 4, 2021. After the auction was over, it had broken records in India.
In total, the collection auctioned for $966,000, the highest ever in India.
Amitabh’s ‘Madhushala’ NFT collection was the most successful, selling for $756,000. It is the poetry collection of the actor’s father, recorded in Amitabh’s own voice.
The Iconic Vintage Posters NFT featured seven autographed posters from the actor’s iconic films sold for $94,052 while the Punks and NFT Arts collection went for $66,900.
Another feature at the auction was the ‘Loot Box’ worth $10 each, wherein every buyer of the box got an assured art piece from the NFT collection.
The Loot Box offered 5,000 collectables and it saw more than 300,000 people across the world sign up for them.
Unsurprisingly, the entire Loot Box collection sold out in just 54 minutes.
