Bhumi Pednekar and her sister were victims of trolling after they shared a video of themselves on Instagram.
In the video, she and Samiksha could be seen flaunting their glam and touching up their lipstick.
The pair then pouted and smiled for the camera.
The caption read: “Me and my best friend.”
While some social media users were stunned by how similar the sisters looked, others accused them of having plastic surgery.
One comment read: “This is what happens we have the same surgeon, we can’t differentiate both of them.”
Not one to take the trolling, Samiksha fired back:
“Or same parents? Maybe?”
One fan defended the Pednekar sisters, writing:
“This is what happens when you are uneducated. Can’t understand that sisters can have similar features.”
The troll then doubled down on his claim:
“Sisters can look similar but you don’t know the hidden reality if you are uneducated and just blindly believe what is shown.”
Another posted: “Life in plastic, it’s so fantastic.”
Samiksha refuted the plastic surgery claims, asking:
“What plastic?”
A user stated: “Both of you are plastic.”

Some commented on how similar the sisters looked and called them beautiful.
A baffled user said: “But who is Bhumi?? I am totally confused. Do you apply proxy during shoots?”
Samiksha replied: “Haha maybe!”
Another said: “Your parents lied to you. You’re actually twins.”
Samiksha agreed: “Even I think so.”
Others expressed their support for the sisters, with one saying:
“Haters gonna hate. It’s what they do best sadly. Stay awesome ladies.”
Another fan said:
“Beautiful, one is an actor and one is a lawyer. Parents must be so proud. Done well for yourselves.”
Bhumi and Samiksha look so similar that they are often assumed to be twins.
But Bhumi Pednekar clarified that they are not twins.
She previously said: “Contrary to what many think, we are not twins.
“We are sisters, and, according to some people, we look very similar, though we don’t think so.
“But she is my best friend and as we are growing up, I feel our relationship is just growing thicker.”
On the work front, Bhumi began 2024 with the crime thriller Bhakshak.
Directed by Pulkit and produced by Gauri Khan, the movie also stars Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava, and Sai Tamhankar. It made its OTT debut on February 9, 2024.
