"Bro sang Saiyaara like he wrote it."

Arijit Singh surprised fans by performing the popular Saiyaara title track during his concert at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

The film, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, was released on July 18, 2025, and quickly became a box office hit.

Its soundtrack, including the title song, has resonated deeply with audiences and achieved massive popularity.

Originally sung by Kashmiri artiste Faheem Abdullah, the Saiyaara title song was composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Faheem Abdullah and Arslan Nizami, with lyrics by Irshad Kamil.

The concert on September 5 was a historical moment as Arijit Singh became the first Indian artist to headline a UK stadium.

Stepping out in front of 45,000 fans at the N17 stage, Arijit surprised concertgoers with his version of the title track.

Known for delivering classics like ‘Kesariya’, ‘Bulleya’,’ Kabira’ and ‘Mast Magan’, the singer gave a new spin to Saiyaara by performing a retro version.

Videos from the night have gone viral on social media.

Fans in the crowd were heard cheering and singing along as Arijit performed Abdullah’s hit.

On social media, some fans were pleasantly surprised, with one commenting:

“This made my day.”

Another said: “Arijit + Saiyaara = goosebumps, didn’t see that coming.”

A third added: “Bro sang Saiyaara like he wrote it.”

However, not everyone was keen on Arijit’s rendition.

One disappointed fan said: “This is the first time I’m not connecting with Arijit.”

Another wrote: “Old song background music does not suit him!!”

Despite the mixed reaction, Arijit Singh remains one of India’s most influential vocalists.

He broke through with ‘Tum Hi Ho’ in the 2013 Bollywood film Aashiqui 2 and has since become a mainstay of film soundtracks.

The singer recently collaborated with Ed Sheeran on the single ‘Sapphire’.

One fan at the London concert told BBC:

“His songs are so amazing and touching. He’s like the Ed Sheeran of India.”

Meanwhile, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda thanked fans after Saiyaara completed 50 days in theatres.

A joint post read: “Today marks 50 days of a film that brought us to the world and the world to us, the love we have gotten feels like a testament to the fact that if you believe in magic, you feel it.

“Today marks a quiet moment for us, we close our eyes and all we see is you.

“Thank you for being vulnerable with us, for letting us in, for reminding us that honesty and love are more powerful than anything else in this world.”
