"I am happy to be part of it."

Alia Bhatt delivered one of the standout style moments at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah as she received the Golden Globe Horizon Award for her contribution to global cinema.

For the Gala Dinner, Alia chose a strapless floral-patterned gown from Elie Saab’s Couture collection.

The draped bodice cinched at the waist before falling into a long train.

The soft movement of the gown elevated her appearance on the red carpet.

She kept the accessories minimal with pink gemstone earrings and subtle rings.

Alia opted for a bronzed glam appearance with nude lips and styled her brunette hair in loose waves.

Reflecting on her appearance at the event, Alia said:

“I tell myself that if my 5-year-old self could see this moment, she might not have believed it, but she would have given me a big pat on the back.

“So, I feel like that 5-year-old version of me today.

“I am feeling incredibly nervous and excited, equally thankful, and truly honoured to be among such distinguished company.”

Festival organisers said the award recognises exceptional creative talent from around the world.

Alia Bhatt shared the moment with Tunisian star Hend Sabry, who received the Omar Sharif Award.

Beaming with pride, Alia said: “The Golden Globes are an iconic part of the global awards universe. I am happy to be part of it.

“I look forward to continuing my career in telling more stories of powerful and deserving women.”

The festival also dedicated a special showcase to Alia’s career, charting her early roles and highlighting acclaimed films including Highway, Dear Zindagi, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, and Brahmastra.

Alia also reflected on how her mindset toward work has changed over time.

She said: “When I was young… I’m still young, but when I was in my 20s, I was all over the place, trying to do everything.”

Alia recalled entering rooms fearlessly at 18, driven by instinct and without preconceived notions, adding:

“I think now with success, with failure, with knowing, sometimes you tend to become a little more tentative.”

She said she still aims to stay curious “no matter what happens in the future”.

Alia Bhatt used her appearance to tease Alpha, her upcoming Yash Raj Films spy thriller set for release in 2026.

The film marks the first female-led entry in the YRF Spy Universe and Alia stars alongside Sharvari and Bobby Deol.

Discussing the film, Alia said: “Alpha is the first female-led action film from the YRF universe, so that’s also a risk, because you’ve not historically seen that perform in the same way that the other male-led films have performed.”

Directed by Shiv Rawail and produced by Aditya Chopra, Alpha will be the seventh film in the franchise following Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3, and War 2.

Alpha is set for a global release on April 17, 2026.
