"I used to hear loud footsteps"
Alaya F has opened up on a spooky experience that she had when she was studying in New York.
She revealed that a ghost lived in her apartment and that there were “lots of creepy things that would happen”.
Alaya explained that she would hear “loud footsteps” at strange times during the day and the shower would turn on by itself.
She also claimed that on one occasion, she saw the ghost.
Her friend also felt something strange.
Alaya recalled: “When I was living and studying in New York, there was a ghost in my New York apartment.
“I used to hear loud footsteps in the middle of the night.
“Sometimes, the shower would turn on randomly.
“There were lots of creepy things that would happen.”
However, things apparently escalated when she saw a flash go past, spooking Alaya and her friend.
Alaya F continued: “Then, one day, something happened where, from the corner of my eye, I saw this quick flash go past me.
“I was like, ‘did you see that?’ and she was like, ‘I didn’t see anything but I felt something hit me like this as though someone was running by me’.
“That’s when I was like, ‘Okay, there is something else going on here’, and then I was really terrified, I didn’t want to go back to my home.”
Alaya F previously revealed that she considered getting a nose job due to a “slight bump” on one side of her nose.
She explained: “Yes, I have. I have considered it, I have not done it.
“I think everyone has been like, ‘Maybe I should do…’ It is the smallest thing, I don’t even know if people can see it.
“So, this side of my nose is the nice one, this one has a slight bump here. It’s like the tiniest thing in the world.”
Alaya went on to state that she will probably never have her nose done, saying:
“I’ll probably never do it because it’s so damn pointless.”
Alaya F made her Bollywood debut in 2020 in Jawaani Jaaneman, which also starred Saif Ali Khan.
The film is about a property broker and party animal in London who confronts a daughter he never knew he had, who is also pregnant.
The film saw Alaya F win the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
