"He is ready to scare you"
Akshay Kumar has unveiled the trailer of his upcoming Holi release, Bachchan Pandey.
The actor is back in a never-seen-before avatar, as he plays a cruel gangster with a stone eye.
The trailer begins with an introduction to Myra Devekar, played by Kriti Sanon, who wants to make a film on a gangster named Bachchan Pandey.
Kriti’s character convinces her friend Vishu, played by Arshad Warsi, to accompany her on her mission.
Bachchan Pandey is shown as a deadly gangster, who is on a killing spree.
He is said to have murdered his girlfriend Sophie, portrayed by Jacqueline Fernandez though the trailer hints at a twist in the plot.
Kriti’s filmmaking plans seem to take a turn as Bachchan Pandey learns their hidden truth.
Hours before the trailer was released, Jacqueline shared her first look from the film and captioned it:
“Sophie dreams of a magical love story.
“Will Bachchan Pandey be able to fulfil her every wish?”

The trailer also features Prateik Babbar, Sanjay Mishra and Pankaj Tripathi.
Earlier, Akshay had announced the spelling change in the film’s title by sharing a new poster featuring him as a gangster with a stone eye.
In the caption, he wrote: “This is one character that has more shades than a paint shop!
“He is ready to scare you, make you laugh and cry.”
Calling Bachchan Pandey the complete package, Kriti Sanon said: “I am very excited because it’s got everything in it.
“There’s comedy, there’s action, there’s a lot of interesting drama happening.
“It’s a full package film, I would say.”
Bachchan Pandey is written by Nischay Kuttanda, directed by Farhad Samji and is said to be a remake of the 2014 Tamil film Jigarthanda.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Bachchan Pandey is set to release on March 18, 2022.
Bachchan Pandey will mark the fourth collaboration of Akshay Kumar with Farhad Samji after Entertainment, Housefull 3 and Housefull 4.
Akshay recently wrapped up the final leg of Ram Setu.
The film stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha.
After wrapping up the shoot for Ram Setu, Akshay said: “Here’s to the wrap of yet another amazing project #RamSetu.
“I learned so much during the making of this film, it was like going to school all over again.
“We have worked hard. Now we need your blessings.”
He also has Prithviraj in the pipeline in which he will be seen opposite Manushi Chhillar and a war drama titled Gorkha.
