"we will be launching more features and updates.”
Creators of the popular mobile action game FAU-G have been teasing fans with new game features.
FAU-G, which stands for The Fearless and United Guards, was launched by Akshay Kumar and nCore Games on India’s Republic Day (Tuesday, January 26, 2021).
Since then, FAU-G has become one of the top free games on Google Play. The game currently has over five million downloads on the Google Play Store.
The action game has kept gamers and fans hooked since its release, and is now a fierce rival of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG).
Currently, FAU-G features a story mode with brawler-style gameplay rather than weapons.
The game’s first storyline takes place in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley, the site of 2020’s India-China border standoff.
However, many avid gamers are comparing FAU-G with the advanced features of PUBG Mobile India.
As a result, nCore Games has teased some new aspects for players and fans to expect.
Due to the India-China agreement that prohibits guns in Galwan Valley, FAU-G currently does not feature weapons.
However, nCore Games may soon add weapons to the game, but they will be used in another map or storyline.
Battle Royale Mode
According to Vishal Gondal, co-founder and CEO of nCore Games, FAU-G is not a clone of PUBG.
However, the future of FAU-G does feature a battle royale mode which could put the FAU-G vs PUBG rivalry to rest.
Gondal said: “The story mode will be the first one.
“And then we are hoping that over the period of six to eight months intermediately we will be launching more features and updates.”
A battle royale mode is an online multiplayer video game genre.
The genre mixes survival, scavenging and exploration with a last-man-standing type of play.
Hundreds of players are involved in battle royale games, and gamers can also play in teams.
Fortnite, as well as PUBG, are prime examples of battle royale games.
Battle pass is a monetisation feature that will offer users rewards as they progress through the game.
This is prevalent in most multiplayer games as players can purchase unique aesthetics or aspects to give themselves an advantage over others.
When a battle pass is added to FAU-G’s list of features, players will be given the chance to gain exclusive rewards such as character skins.
Currently, FAU-G is a solo game. However, nCore Games has confirmed that multiplayer combats between gamers will be coming.
Multiplayer mode could therefore be the game’s next new feature.
However, it is not yet clear whether it will be brought in for the Galwan Valley storyline, or restricted to the battle royale mode, as the storyline relates to true incidents occurring in the Valley.
As the development of FAU-G progresses, the game can only become more of a force to be reckoned with.
So, eagle-eyed fans should look out for these four exciting new features coming soon.
