With a plethora of streaming platforms at your service, television has become even more accessible.

Streaming giants like Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney Plus are all geared up to bring you the best television experience with plenty of new shows on the way.

DESIblitz has rounded up 10 of the best upcoming streaming shows that you can look forward to in 2023.

Never Have I Ever

Back for its fourth and final season is the hit Netflix TV show, Never Have I Ever.

The American teen romance comedy-drama, written and created by Mindy Kaling, has already received favourable reviews from its previous three seasons.

The show features our favourite chaotic Indian American teenager, Devi Vishwakumar, played by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, as she navigates high school, culture and youth.

The newest and final season of the show will feature some new faces, one of them being Love, Victor actor Michael Cimino who will be playing skater boy, Ethan.

Whilst there is no set date, fans of the show certainly can’t wait to see how Devi’s senior year of high school unfolds in 2023.

Taaza Khabar

Coming exclusively to Disney+ Hotstar from January 6, 2023, is the action-packed Hindi series Taaza Khabar.

YouTuber and comedian Bhuvan Bam is set to make his streaming debut as the lead actor in this series, playing the character Vasant Gawde.

The series deals with a sanitation worker whose discovery of his newfound magical powers turns his humble life upside down.

The series will also tackle certain social issues such as poverty, class issues and human desire in the gritty and dark depicted streets of Mumbai.

Velma

If you’re familiar with the Scooby Doo franchise, then you’ll not want to miss the spin-off television series, Velma coming to screens in 2023.

The new animated series will premiere on HBO Max in January 2023.

Whilst there is no exact release date, we know for sure that January can’t come soon enough.

Velma’s character will be voiced by the beloved South Asian actress and writer, Mindy Kaling who is certain to bring a comedic flair to the cartoon character.

Joining Mindy is Constance Wu who is voicing the character Daphne Blake, Sam Richardson voicing Shaggy and Glenn Howerton voices Fred Jones.

The television show will focus mainly on the character of Velma and her origins and experiences as a member of the Scooby Doo gang.

RuPaul’s Drag Race

If you haven’t jumped on the RuPaul’s Drag Race bandwagon yet, then it is high time you did.

Back for its 15th season in 2023, RuPaul’s Drag Race is set to have its biggest cast ever with 16 drag queens set to enter the ‘werk’ room in season 15.

The Emmy-award-winning competition show will also include the largest cash prize the show has ever seen of $200,000 granted to the winning queen.

The new season will premiere on January 6, 2023, followed immediately by behind-the-scenes footage in new episodes of Untucked, the spin-off backstage series that spills all the drama.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story

Bridgerton fans will be abuzz following the announcement of the Bridgerton spin-off series, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, which is set to release in 2023.

Whilst the current series revolves around the love stories of each of the Bridgerton children, this series will follow the royal origin story and early life of Bridgerton fan favourite, Queen Charlotte.

Additionally, the spin-off series will feature the origin stories of matriarchs, Violet Bridgerton and Lady Danbury and further expand their stories.

The new show has already prompted buzz as it will showcase Queen Charlotte’s rise to power as well as tell the much-anticipated love story between her and King George.

Whilst there is no set release date for the series, Netflix has released a teaser clip that is leaving us wanting more.

Shark Tank India

Coming to Sony TV in 2023 is the second season of the Indian business reality show Shark Tank India.

Following the immense success of the show’s first season, Shark Tank India will be back with its second season featuring a new shark, Amit Jain, who will replace Ashneer Grover.

The new season will also be hosted by stand-up comedian Rahul Dua who will add a comedic element to the otherwise serious business show.

With new businesses and entrepreneurs set to appear on the show, we can’t wait to see which innovations capture the Sharks’ interests.

The second season will premiere exclusively on Sony TV and Sony LIV on January 2, 2023.

Coming back to Netflix in 2023 is the hit American psychological thriller series, You.

Our favourite ex-Gossip Girl actor, Penn Badgley is set to reprise his role as the sinister serial killer and stalker, Joe Goldberg who will be embracing his new life in London.

The upcoming season will feature new faces set to enter Joe’s dangerous orbit.

The new season will have Lukas Gage, Charlotte Ritchie, Tilly Keeper, Amy-Leigh Hickman and Ed Speleers joining the main cast.

The fourth season is also said to be split into two parts with the first premiering on Netflix on February 10 and the second part premiering on March 10.

Bling Empire: New York

The spin-off series will star Dorothy Wang, a much-loved socialite who appeared briefly in the second season of Bling Empire but left fans wanting more.

Dorothy will be joined by influential Asian-American New Yorkers, Blake Abbie, Tina Leung, Richard Chang, Lynn Ban, Stephen Hung and Deborah Hung.

The first season of this spin-off series is set to air on January 20, 2023, with eight, thirty-five-minute episodes ready to binge.

With promises of fortune, high fashion, and drama, we can’t wait to see how this spin-off series shakes the big apple.

It has been announced that the Indian mini-web series, Bestseller has been renewed for a second season.

The Indian psychological new age suspense thriller web series is based on Ravi Subramanian’s novel, ‘Bestseller She Wrote’.

The first season of the web series explores the story of novelist Tahir Wazir, played by actor Arjan Bajwa, who is suffering from writer’s block and happens to meet a fan who changes his miserable situation.

The launch date of the second season is yet to be made officially released, but producers are aiming to release it by June 2023.
