"Dhruv Rathee will destroy you. We will destroy you."
Popular YouTube couple Anurag and Karolina Goswami have claimed Dhruv Rathee orchestrated several attacks on them in Europe by sending goons after them.
The couple, whose channel India in Details has over one million subscribers, said they were subjected to violent attacks in Berlin and Paris.
In a video, the couple said they were allegedly attacked by “radicalised supporters” of Dhruv Rathee, a YouTuber with 13 million subscribers.
Anurag said: “Dhruv Rathee’s radicalised supporters have targeted us in Europe.
“We have faced two attacks – one in France and the other one in Germany.
“I hope and expect that the government of India will do something to protect us from this we have already visited two police stations in Europe.”
Images of the alleged attack were also included, showing the shattered windows of their car and the dishevelled interior.
Highlighting the seriousness of their ordeal, Karolina added:
“After a lot of discussion and careful thinking, we have decided to make this public.
“Yes, I want the YouTube community to see the terror that we face and how it happened.”
Recalling the incident in Berlin, Anurag explained that he and his wife went out to get some food when they met one of their fans.
But when they drove to the Brandenburg area, the trouble began.
Anurag and one of his children waited in the car for Karolina and their other child when Dhruv Rathee’s supporters screamed at her:
“Dhruv Rathee will destroy you. We will destroy you.”
Anurag went on to say that the attacks were in retaliation to their videos challenging the veracity of Dhruv’s content.
Anurag continued: “Karolina released the 2023 International List of Shame and Dhruv Rathee was on that list.
“Because Karolina exposed fake content by fact-checking his video, his radicalised supporters are now targeting or attacking our family.”
The mentioned video was Dhruv’s World Happiness Index 2021.
Citing the index, Dhruv said people in Pakistan are happier than Indian citizens.
Karolina questioned Dhruv’s adopted formulas and methods, concluding that they were invalid.
Speaking about the attack in Paris, Anurag said it happened near the Eiffel Tower.
He was taking luggage out of his car when he heard someone tell him:
“Your b***h makes videos on Dhruv Rathee.”
Anurag admitted that he wanted to confront them but the person walked away.
Sometime later, when the couple were away from their car, objects were thrown, smashing the windows.
Although their valuables were not stolen, important data storage was taken.
Addressing Dhruv, Anurag said:
“Dhruv Rathee, I want to ask you. Who stole our data? Who sent those people?
“My wife Karolina exposed your fake content by fact-checking your video to protect viewers from your lies.
“Does she deserve this? Do we deserve this? Dhruv Rathee why? Talk to me directly.”
The couple have registered two police cases.
Anurag also urged the Indian authorities not to take these threats lightly.
